    Hi!

My name is Nathan, just had my first Nerf war yesterday which was a blast! I've always enjoyed my toy guns but had never been to an organised event before. Luckily a workmate brought Nerf up in a conversation and then invited me to join in. I had a play at modding my longshot a while ago, so I brought it along...boy, I was proud of my blaster until I saw some of the mods others were packing!

Of course now this means I have an excuse to get some new blasters and have a go at modding again, hence leading me here Next match is a HvZ, so I'll be looking for suitable panic blasters haha. Any suggestions?

My merger collection consists of 2x Longshots (1 modded with pistol integration, heavier spring, no AR), Maverick, Recon, Raider and Vulcan. I'd upload a pic but the forum isn't allowing me for seven days

    Now to do some reading!

Oh what? You can post pictures? That's weird. I'll look into it.

    Also welcome to the forums!

Have you tried uploading a picture at photobucket and embedding the picture on your post?

P.S. You probably think Canberra is 'overkill'. I've only seen a couple of cool modders like Jeo or Combust on these forums. However, come to either an Adelaide War, Melbourne, Perth OR Brisbane. You will be running for you money cause our blasters penetrate cardboard like butter. We have a motto here in Brisbane (not all war groups) "If you blaster can penetrate cardboard, it's good enough for a war".

    Yay Canberra people!

I couldn't make it to the game yesterday as I had a day at Wakefield booked in well before we decided the date for the 2nd Urban game, but many people had told me that we got a bunch of new guys so that's great to see.

You'll be coming along to the next HvZ game I take it?

    Also who had cool mods?

No, just using the built in uploader, ill have another try tonight.

Thanks for the welcomes! Yeah Jeo, I'm planning on making it to the game on the 5th, got a taste for it now haha. The Ravyen was very impressive, and one chap had a pair of Stampedes that were cut down and strapped together for a very nice dart spammer. Lots of barricades turned SMG...I've got plenty of inspiration!

Not sure about reaching cardboard punching level though haha

Got the missus to pick up a Stampede for me today, so my weekend modding is sorted!

My man! Stampedes all the way. The Stampede can hit 30metres and the darts are more consistent :P. Noting that those range shots from the rayven were 15degree angled (looked like it in the video).

    Hey, welcome to the forums.

I'm pretty sure you can't send/receive PM's and post pictures until you've reached a certain post count, which is 5 posts, from memory.

    Cheers,

Thats fine, I'm sure you've all seen stock guns before haha

littlebro05 - I've been reading your Stampede guide, very informative, I have springs on the way and going to get the Trustfire batteries you mentioned I think...can't wait to get my hands dirty with it!

I probably just need better lighting in those photos, but I think I've put enough pictures there for people to understand lol.
