I recently purchased one of the new 'Gear Up' Mavricks. Its taken a while because I never liked having another type of dart (ie suction dart) floating around my ammo box (the new ones take the whistle type)

To my dismay, the mavrick rarely fires and always jams. I've tried some older whistler darts aswell as some of the ammo refill camo ones and they all do the same.

Has anyone had the same problems?

Have you checked the seal between turret and punger? or mabe tried a streamline?

Some mavericks are duds. Generally has something to do with the amount of space between the turret and the end of the plunger (or at least where the air comes out).

Ive had that happen to one of my mavs, the plunger tube was not fitted properely and was not getting a good seal. Check that and if you want to do some basic mav mods to it to get a better seal.

Or maybe it is a dud.....

    Quick update:

I pulled the Mav down this morning just to check the internals. Everything looked ok, so I decided to do the 3 simple mods while it was all apart (AR, spring and drop barrel) all went well (note: on this model the mod for the drop barrel is slightly different)

Test time; nothing, still exactly the same. Then I managed to fire one off... then 2... then 6. It seems as though the revolving chamber doesn't move fast enough when the trigger is pulled fast, you kinda have to squeeze off the round (more like a real revolver) rather than just pull the trigger.
I'm not sure exactly whats going on, but i'll pull it down again and check the clutch system and try and nut it out from there.

did you shove the whistlers hard into the barrel? because you have to, mine that I modded (normal yellow) same mods as you will not fire maybe 1 in 6 with whistlers, its fine with suckers and streamlines.
