Hey guys so I brought a maverick about half a year ago and after about a day of use without modding it, when I cocked the gun it would shoot without pulling the trigger. usually it would shoot straight after cocked. Just getting back into nerf I was thinking of modding it and fixing this issue. Has anyone ever had this problem before? and does anyone know how to fix it? I have no clue how I would fix it. (NOOB MODDER)

    Thanks guys

Open it up and have a look at the trigger catch spring I guess. I haven't heard of this issue on stock guns but the first thing that came to mind is that catch spring might not have been placed properly during manufacture.

I had this exact issue myself before I even knew you could mod guns or that an online community existed.

Anyway how to fix it. All you need to do is replace the catch spring. I used a spring from a pen, you need the toughest spring you can find and cut it down so it fits. you may need two springs that fit inside each other, if this is the case it's better if the springs spiral in opposite directions.
