New - an older guy just getting into it

Hey People

I`m Adam - always been interest in Nerf, but with hippy parents and then a young child .. it never happen

Until now

I know I`m getting a Specter and a Barricade for Christmas off a good friend .. so looking to getting into a regular warring group ..

Will also be looking at modding soon ... I created a Prop Sniper rifle for a friend using a CS 6 ... so it cant be that much of a jump from external to internal mods

We actually got alot of 'older' spectators at today's Nerf War. They were impressed by even an overhauled stampede that I made for inf0rm3r.

I only ask .. cause I have an idea for my first project

I was given a shell of a Steyr and 2 BuzzBee Tommy guns (not working, the motors work, and if I put the dart in before turning it on it fires)

So the plan is to make pup that is clip loaded and gets decent range (and will be stealing some of your ideas from the Stampede)

Yeah it's that's one. The only difference is that I used a black tactical spring and stock spring combo.

The Triple Shot + Stock Spring combo also works as effectively from my range tests.

Yeh, going from prop work to mod work isn't a massive jump, certainly not for someone with the tools and a general working knowledge of craftsmanship already. I'm more on the exterior side of things myself, but it's always so much more impressive to people when your great-looking prop gun also happens to break 75 feet- not to mention cardboard and thin glass.
