Ok so everyone was Rayven about this gun (see what I did there?) so I went out and picked one up at Kmart.
First thing I noticed was the locks were really annoying. So I removed the locks and then this happened.
I have no idea what you call it but I'm gonna call it Steve. Steve gets stuck in the Activated position once you press him after the lock has been removed.
You can open the dart jam door but that is highly annoying to keep opening and closing so the flywheels don't keep whirrrrr-ing. I don't want to do a serious electronic mod for it just yet and I just like to play with the trigger with no clip in it from time to time (the simple things in life).
So this is what I did to work around this problem. There is an extrusion on the lock (below) you need to KEEL IT!!
If you look at the trigger, it has a nub on the side which this part blocks. You can cut it off the trigger but I decided to take it from the lock for the main reason that everyone else will throw theirs out (the lock, not the trigger) so you can grab a quick replacement easy if you decide to change your mind.
The problem with this is that it will still push the darts through the flywheel even if the blaster is not running. If you decide to run the motor, it wont go because the dart is already blocking it (tried only on stock motor, don't know about TrustFires or upgraded motors) BUT, Steve will no longer be stuck and the dart jam door can stay closed.
All in all, it has resulted in this minor and pretty much useless (but nice, if you like fiddling with the blaster while its off or clipless) mod;
That's all =]
