I know this might only be a small thing to add, or others have already picked up on this, but just incase I thought I'd throw this in for inspection.

From that link I saw the picture SG Nerf cut from the vid and posted up (left side, below)

But when I went to look at the video closer, I paused it JUST on the split second before it ended, and managed to catch the picture on the right side:

...now is it just me, or does the blaster now look misleadingly large on the bottom, or two clips lined up together in a T formation? I'm even more confused now XD

fly wheels on a vortex blaster though? be interested to see how that worked, spinning the discs would be kinda cool, like firing buzz saw blades, ricochets would be awesome. i apologise if this doesnt make sense, im kinda drunk

I would wager it would work a lot like the Nitron does, except not fully automatic.
I am rather hoping that the mag is compatible with the Nitron.

Ambiguous silhouettes! Coming soon! Spose it's all part of the tease process. Stock wars will be so much more interesting with these guns, really really keen on getting a few.

i wonder if the hailfire will be a multi-directional spray/cover fire nerf blaster. or a multi-barrel one with multiple stampede-esque mechs running in stagger. viable as nerf's "Pinnacle of Nerf Innovation"?

Guys, it's not a vortex gun. It seems just to be a giant flywheel blaster with a big/awkward/weird drum.

As for the ranges of the raider and recon remake; it's like 65-70ft angled with a lucky shot that goes further, like how hasbro get the ranges from any of their guns.

New darts are just thin whistler darts. Also having a hole in the side of dart doesn't mean it won't fly straight. current whistler darts fly straight and have a huge hole in the side.

After watching the video i came to the conclusion that the hailfire is a single barrel with a multi-mag disc to allow it to hold multiple high capacity mags and just rotate to the next 90 degrees for more ammo until the four mags run out

Definitely spot on with the rotating clip holder. Imagine that with 4 raider drums!?! It would be awesome if it is released fully automatic, which is easily possible with all that room in the shell.

It looks like a Vulcan remake but with rotating multistage mag changes

Perhaps that second trigger that traditionally used to spool up flywheels is actually the button to rotate to the next mag? Either way, i still think that mag turntable layout is freaking stupid and ugly. Might be just me, but when i hear te name "elite" I tgink of streamlined rifle shapes and less nonsense bits (eg a foregrip on the retaliator instead of a light on the recon). This design looks like someone picked up a 4 year old's drawing of a Nerf gun and actually made it.

I think that's enough rage for now...

i agree with that^. i think a metal-gear stampede-like nerf blaster with only a slightly stronger springset would be elite enough if it ran 300-400 rounds per minute. forget multi-mag blasters. it's bulkier and uglier than the vulcan.

My bet is that the hailfire is gonna be exactly like the nitron, lots of hype around it, expensive, completely impractical in any situation, but a hell of a lot of fun to play with
