What... no option for Aussie/American cars?? lol

Fairly impressed with my 6.0L V8... I think I'll stick with that. Just simple "mod's" done to it - Cold air intake, hi-flow cat converter's and have had the computer tinkered with by professionals.

I think you need to talk to Oxymoron!!

    Cheers,

    NONE OF THE ABOVE.

Forget euro-trash and jap-plastic, My 4 litre Hemi 6 Valiant (Aussie made FTW) is pretty much all I need!

Much prefer Aussie muscle cars over American as our cars were actually built to go around corners lol!

Well so far, my garage has: an Alfa Romeo Alfetta (not sure of the year) Rover P6 S1 2000 (also a bit sketchy about the year), 1988 ZL Fairlane, 1996 NF Fairlane, 1995 Mitsubishi Verada KS and lastly two 2004 Mitsubishi Verada KW AWD GTVi.
I will be hoping to add a 1977 Jaguar XJS to the list, which will become modified in the Lister fashion.

So if the above is used to take into account I would have to say Euro and Aussie for the win (Veradas/Magnas were made in Australia, by Australians). But I would love an R35 one day, amongst other things......

Haha - I have to be partially split on the Aussie vs American performance cars.

My pride and joy is a 2008 VE SSV, that does corner rather well. Admittedly, I'm rather impressed with the Chev 6.0L... 312kW with the mod's, and not a bad way to burn $60K BNIB.

    Cheers,

Well there is no way I am going to go through the cars and bikes I have owned but I go through the highlights lol.
    Cars
    Several VW Beetles ranging 59-71
    2 Aus East beach buggies
74 XB Hardtop (GT Dash, grill and tiller, GS bonnet, full Landau interior)
75 HJ Monaro (4dr) 14 sec 1/4 mile with a wheels up launch
Subaru MY wagon (height adjustable suspention, dual range 4x4)
85 LN60 4Runner, Removable FRP top, 2.4 diesel. That was just my truck

    Bikes
    Suzuki
    79 A100, Rotory valve 2 stroke
80 GSX 400. Old twin sport tourer
    GT 200. 2 stroke twin
    BMW
    R90S Replica 80s vintage
Trying to talk a bloke out of his R100 at the moment
    Honda
Z50R 110 china motor, china XR50 front forks and f/r wheels, ported head, lighted flywheel, tunnel rammed
CT90 Trail. Dual range wall climber
C90 Classic step through. Had an XR 200 fork and front wheel by the end
Currently chasing bits to get my 90 model Subaru L series on the road so I ca start playing around with it abit lol.

I like a bit of variaty iin m manufacturers but there is no way in hell I would own a commodore. After my mum had two that both were nothing but trouble and my time working for RACQ I simply could not bring myself to own something that I knew would break

Edit: Forgot my Cooperon bodied Landcruiser, F20 Diahatsu and HJ pano.
Yeah, I have owned alot of cars

    Well, I don't have a car..
So I'll show you my fathers endless money pit.
    It's a 1997 BMW e39 Touring.

We recently went to the mainland in it and when we drove off the Spirit and went to Bendigo, and the light for the rear airbag suspension came on. So it cost almost $2000 to get that fixed.
So I'd call that modified. (:

Here is a pic of my current project.

    1973 VJ Valiant/Dodge/Chrysler/Mitsubishi Ute.
    Modding Cars Theute

The old girl was a stock standard base model farm-pack ute with a sad 225ci engine, but now she has a High-Performance Pacer Race 245ci HEMI Straight six. Basically the same engine as the 265 the charger's raced in Bathurst back in the day just not fully worked. Its still got plenty of power (1/4 mile in 9.8sec) but not as heavy on the fuel.

I plan to swap out the diff for a charger ex cop-car one but still keep the old-school 3speed manual column shift.
Also i would love to give her a Edelbrock 500 series mechanical secondary 4throught carby.

I just recently rebuild all the running gear; front/rear shocks (Koni adjustable oil), Ball-joints, Upper/Lower control arms, Pitman arm, tie rod ends etc... that was a big job to do on your own!

Currently The old girl has no stereo as the original AM radio has died and back in the 70's they didn't have a standard DIN size for radio mounts so nothing fits, and I don't want to cut the dash. Might mount a hidden one one-day.

    BTW.
As much as I love Aussie muscle, I cannot deny that the WRX is one awesome car, especially since its a 4cylender boxer!

Once the Jag is mine, I will take it from standard (5.3L V12) and change it to Lister Le Mans spec (7L V12 twin superchargers) which will have an output of 500bhp and 500lbft of torque.

I'm partial to the Jap cars only for the fact that they are cheap and easy to get bits for. Well most of my previous cars were. My toyota Sera was a nightmare. Once I finally tracked down the parts I wanted, an old bloke decided to test the strength of the rear end and wrote it off.

The doors made car parks a lot easier. I had one guy try telling me I opened my door into his car and put a red mark on his BMW. He was slightly shut down when I asked him what colour my car was and then he was even more bewildered when my doors opened up, not out lol.

Modding Cars Empty I love wagons

Post  FatherTime Mon Mar 05, 2012 10:10 pm

Ilove wagons, I think you guys refer to them as Breaks, or work vans. And the people over here in the states wont buy them so they really aren't offered any more, although they do but tings like Cadillac CTS but if you call it a wagon they get upset...lol. So to make story short, you guys have a lot of cool cars over there, my dream would be one like Mad Max's Holden HJ Sandman Panel Van. I know I'm square but there's no accounting for taste.

    P.S. I have a 1979 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, with a 425ci engine, it'll pass almost anything but a fuel station...lol.

P.S.S. The Itercepters were pretty B.A. as well. And you guys can still get utes(we called them Elcaminos and Rancheros).

I always made the assumption based on the avatar there Oxy. Very sexy evo bay.

Should probably actually say what I've done to the good old legendary car hey?
1.8 conversion, intake, exhaust, computer, coilovers, brakes, chassis bracing, roll bar, etc.
New recaro sitting in the garage waiting for mounts to get made up, front splitter and part undertray designed, lightening incoming.
