hey guys, just trying to do a voltage and spring upgrade mod on my stampede, it works fine without the air restrictor, and the 6D batteies, but when i try to put a better spring in, it won't fire, and when i try to connect some 9v batteries up in series (by themselves), it doesn't work at all, and if i connect the batteries straight up to the motor, it'll move, but won't fire. any ideas?
    Thanks.

Your voltage upgrade isn't sufficient by the sounds of it.

Try either 4 x 14500 li-ion unprotected batt's, or a 12 SLA, or some sort of LiPo configuration.

    Cheers,

yeah, that could be the case, but i've seen videos where people put in 3 or 4 9volt batteries, and the gun works well, also where do you get the lipo batteries? do you have to order them from dx or something similar?
    cheers

LiPos are used in RC for high current output. They're not worth the trouble for Nerf. You need a special charger and a Fire Proof Sack to charge them in. Buy them from hobby shops or online stores. Maybe Battery World might have them?
