My current idea is to use the same design as the tip of a streamline however instead of having all that space and that hole in the tip it will purely be filled with rubber/silicone to get more weight. My second idea on top of that is to add a longer stick through the center of the dart to add more weight again.

Silicone/Rubber/Plastic Weights
Ok so I've come up with another idea for weighting stefans. Has anyone worked with modding streamline darts and has anyone fixed the fishtailing problem? If so post how you accomplished it. How much more weight in the tip did you require to stop the fishtailing? Does it stop fishtailing even at Big Blast Ranges? Reason being is I'm thinking of designing a plastic/rubber/silicone tip designed for the new foam I might be getting soon. Hopefully this option will be better than weighted steel shots with hot glue and be cheaper as well. If you have drawings of a design which may work let me know.

Re: Silicone/Rubber/Plastic Weights
from my experience it is best to keep the wieght consentrated up the front of the dart, which is why wieghts like BBs work so well. if the weight is to spread out then it becomes unstable. somewhat like a spear.

Re: Silicone/Rubber/Plastic Weights
don't put a rod through it to add weight my dad is an engineer and he told me. you want all the weight as far forword as possible.

Re: Silicone/Rubber/Plastic Weights
Foam samples were sent off to supplier today will take an estimated 5-7 days to arrive at the factory, from this they can give me a price per meter of each coloured foam in either plain rod form or with a tube (like stock nerf darts).
I have also sent off a sample of what I would like created for tips. I have taken the advise from the other thread and gone with having a tip similar to streamlines but with more weight right at the tip, a standard streamline weighs 0.50grams with just the tip, I have asked for my product to be produced at 1.0 to 1.15grams in the tip. This should be sufficient as my bb darts weigh 1.20 in the end.

Re: Silicone/Rubber/Plastic Weights
Large headed screws(I mean large) would do quite well.
A note on using stremlines. Powerful guns tend to split the sides and make them useless. the wipeout does anyway.

Re: Silicone/Rubber/Plastic Weights
Cant you just put like a small rock in it it might work even though I dont even know WHERE to get FBR'S
and if you use the streamline tip cant you just use the streamline darts whats the difference cant you just put the
normal darts into a pillow case and dry it
