longshot and stefans

I am try to use inf0rm3rs blue tube foam 2" stefans in my moded blue longshot.

Here the problem if I hand load the longshot it fire good but when I load them in a clip it fire like crap.

Do I need to mod my clips to fix this?

Because your stefans are shorter than stock darts they are not getting pushed as far down the barrel by the dart stop. Because the bolt/barrel for the LS is so short (everything else after the bolt is faux barrel) this will make a big difference.

You can't mod the clips to fix this (stefan mod won't do anything as they'll still slide forward when they reach the top, and putting rails to stop this in the top of the clip would impede bolt movement.

Basically... use Stock based darts (CDTS) or re breech it - Tidge's ALU breech, Angel breech etc

Also it's because the barrels in Nerf Guns are tapered so they're actualy barrel is only 1.5cm long.
