Sharing nerf guns at wars?

i wanted to makes this topic to ask do you share your nerf guns with other people at a war?
cuase i was at a nerf war and this kid asked if he could use my raider for the war i said no get your own guns.

but should we share our nerf guns with other players or not?

I only let people use my DTG's or Mav's. No expensive or super rare guns. No, i wouldn't let people use my raider. Also, a heap of random, very annoying children came and swarmed the war, took guns off our table and said "How do you use it?" then proceed to drop the guns in sand. So no, I now don't want anyone using my guns.

That all depends on who you're with. If that Raider means ALOT to you, then don't share it. But if you had like maybe a Quad Shot (like I had) then you should borrow it because that's a fag act. I let people borrow my big blast and I was scared of my own gun LOL.

Although I let most people borrow my guns unless I want to use it myself.

Just remember to label your guns like The Third Sun, Inf0rm3r and myself did or else there will be a mix up.

Thus you don't let 'random little kids' use it. ONLY If they are from the war.

While i haven't been to a war yet, I would lend out one or two of my own guns if someone didn't have one.

Also i was wondering what happens to all the darts you take to a war. At the end do you go round and pick them all up and then divide them all up to all the players that brought darts? Or just collect as you go?

Well, even though you're not aiming for me we are really lucky.

Basically, at our war we kept on going and collected darts as we walked back into our 'position' of start game. That's the best thing to do I reckon because that way the time isn't being hindered and you just keep on rolling.

Also, since we are from Brisbane, our foam can be universal because everyone is using Blue Foam or stock darts! Make life so much easier. You and your silly white foam that don't last Adelaide :P. Nah I wouldn't know how sturdy the white foam darts are but blue foam darts can be stepped on and still fire efficiently.

I've had the intention to buy 5 or 6 Nitefinders, mod them up nicely (ARs, spring, catch spring, re-barrel), and loan them out at wars. Particularily here in Tassie, where nerf is not as prevalent. This would give your Average Joe the chance to get their hands on a *real* nerf gun, and maybe even get them hooked

that does sound pretty good idea get some nite finders or mavericks mod them and loan them out at nerf games to guys for like a couple bucks i would proberly buy nitefinders cuase there cheap where i get them from there 9 bucks

I'd most likely loan them out for free, under the premise that they don't break/maim/disfigure/ebay the gun or something.

+ Loaning them out for money is what dickheads do because the only way for them to get people interested is make some small sacrifices.. Selling darts is a different story.

Borrowing guns should be like out of courtesy unless your gun is like your baby (like my longshot, but I still lent them out anyway).

DO NOT LET OTHER PEOPLE USE YOUR GUNS! The only people I let use them are my closest friends. Once I brought some guns to school for a film project, and it was CARNAGE! People started to pull them out of my bag and I was thanking god that none of them were loaded. I was running around yanking them off people, and even got into a fight with a year ten on the bus. Dear god that went badly. Good thing the Longstrike is made of very hard plastic... I got into a swordfight. With guns... LOL! Oh yeah, and someone got a clip jammed in my LS. So in coclusion, never, EVER let ANYONE who you're not very good friends with and hasn't been given a detailed explanation of how to use them even touch your Nerf guns. EVER!!!!!!!!

Yeah, people with little to no experience in nerf can really screw things up. I was showing some family/friends my modified Longshot. I had finished with it, and one of the kids picks it up, and dry-fires it. *CRA-CRACK!!* There goes a plunger head...

Oh wow, the more I read the more I'm thankful for the Adelaide community. Tom and I lend out our stuff a fair bit but everyone who's ever borrowed anything treated it with respect. Admittedly, I don't own anything very expensive or rare but after reading your nightmare accounts, I'm glad we don't have the annoying little kid issue. I suppose it helps that Tom and I are big, so maybe little kids feel intimidated into taking care of our loaners whereas it's harder for you guys.

When we all meet for APOC Australia or whatever we call it, there will undoubtedly be people who need to borrow something, but those will be noobs. We'd all have plenty of time to prepare for such a big event so any veterans of Oznerf who turn up unprepared will be met by a hail of modded titan/homemade fire.

IMO, as long as you don't lend them something that has the potential to break, it should be fine. How the hell is someone going to break your ar removed maverick, short of throwing it at the ground, which they are unlikely to do if they are vaguely sensible. Then again, maybe thats just because I live in adelaide. go figure.

Lending someone you pump plugged supermaxx 1500, splitfire, at2k, crossbow or maximizer is asking for trouble, breakage and inevitably tears, whether they are your closest friend or not. I personally will never borrow someone else's gun at a war, I have my own and I just don't want to risk breaking something. Nerf is to obscure to be getting into arguments with the few people that actually participate.

I do recall biggles breaking several of Toms guns though...

Ahh you just reminded me about my 2k that is sitting in the parts pile, that i let my friend have a play around with, i leave to go get something i come back to a broken trigger, bent up fireing pin, and a stuffed seal inside the air tank. not happy, ahh well i have plans for it anyways.

All the gear that I take to wars normally makes it back to me, except a few missing darts, but hey, who can help that right? Personally I haven't had anything of mine stolen or damaged, but I've seen some other people get stuff swiped from events that I've attended.
Also whenever I go out for an event I pretty much only bring what I need to use for that day, I know coming prepared is one thing, but bringing your ENTIRE arsenal down is bound to get some grubby little kids poking, prodding and eventually damaging your hard earned time and cash.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that its stupid or anything, I'm just saying bringing a car full of loot to show off has its consequences and if you're not ready to deal with people touching shit that ain't their's without you telling them so beforehand then it's all on you.

Why not charge a deposit for every gun loaned, then keep it when someone breaks the loaned blaster?

I think loaner guns should only be nerf maverick,nerf nite finder,cheap buzz bee guns and have a loan fee of say $5 no more and the shuould not be max out to the full cos people you will loan them will new to sport and will not know how powerfull they are and how dardens they can be.
