Post  Winterstrike Sun Jun 27, 2010 11:46 am

I've cracked and decided to get those holsters from black tactical as I am tired of getting owned while reloading my long range air guns. I need it to fit nitefinders and maybe wipeouts. Roger, Chaos and Tidge own them, and I wanted to make damn sure I've got the right item, as I want the same one they have. It would be this right?

    Leg Holster

Or is there another one I should be aware of? Pretty much anything that will fit a nitefinder very well would be good. Be aware that my nitefinders have pretty long barrels, but I'd be willing to saw them down to make them fit.

I have made mine out of Perspex. Easy as pie, if buying a real one doesn't work, there is your back-up.

Go into Bunnings and ask them to point you to Nail Bags, Tool Pouches, Work Belts, or whatever they wanna call them. Have a look for a cordless drill belt holster. I picked one up for $20, and it fits NFs and other pistols no problems, and will take a maverick if you loosen the straps a bit. The one I got was Irwin brand, and a nice deep blue colour too

    <EDIT>
Here's the sort of thing I'm on about: Irwin cordless drill holster

Except mine is dark blue Nylon, or some other material, definately not leather.

Thats the exact one I have.

And don't worry about barrel length.

Does anyone want any of these too? Jason says he wants one and now's agood time to save on shipping. The shipping for just two of these was already $23, whereas shipping for 3 is $30.

I was going to look for a drill holster soon but after the link Aj just posted I will just with that one,
It would be cool to have one on each leg but it might restricted your movement a bit.

    >>Foam Militia: Have a look at the link I posted earlier. You can get them at Bunnings, or any other good hardware store. Prices range between $20-30. I could even send one up to you, if you don't have a Bunnings in the area.

Yes, I'm probably going to buy those ones from Ebay instead, thanks AJ. I'm checking out the rest of Ebay and other online shops now and I will say that Black tactical is really expensive for pretty much everything they sell. The other thing I was considering getting from them were red dot sights and rifle scopes but they charge a lot more for them than other online shops I know too.

I made a holster for my mav out of paper and duct tape, it sounds dumb but it works a charm.

    Fits on belts.

I am making one similar to flyjammer and Coop except mine does not use paper. Check out his NF and BBBB vid. Easy to make. Cheap. Work like a charm.

Might be a little late but my friend actually got one VERY SIMILAR to that holster. Except the colour scheme is ACU and is MARPAT colouring. It can fit the "Scout" and sawn down of the NF fine. Maverick = fail though lol.

I had one of these also, I made mine from cardboard and duct tape over a year ago. The main problem is the blaster does not stay in all the time when running furiously or changing position from crouch/prone/standing etc, it can be liable to fall or 'bounce' out the top, hence why we've mainly switched to proper holsters now, with some kind of locking feature.

The one I posted is $17.01 AUD posted, thats a pretty sweet deal, and for those wanting mav holsters the molle 'medic pouch' is pretty much perfect size, or you can wait for the nerf tactical vest which has a holster specifically designed to be scalable to fit a maverick

when you think about i have had the same problem with my maverick and i know this isnt fixing the problem but its as if they have been specifically designed to to fit or stick anywhere on the body without having a massive bulky crappy looking home made holster

Found the perfect holster for my Maverick. I bought this tactical vest online and it fits the Maverick perfectly firm in the utility pouch. And can hold 2 clips in each magazine pouch.

Yeah Phuonguyen got it for me and I paid him hahahaha. Credit goes to him.

And anywho. I took some pictures for all you Nerfers who have been trying to look for a convenient vest. Look no further. Though if you don't find it that it suits you after you buy it, don't blame it on me.

    Leg Holster StandardCS-6

Left - 2 Standard Clips with pouch OPEN || Right - 2 Standard Clips with pouch CLOSED

    Leg Holster MagStrikeClip

Left - 1 MagStrike Clip with pouch OPEN || Right - 1 MagStrike Clip with pouch CLOSED

    Leg Holster MaverickHolster

Picture - 1 Maverick in Utility Pouch on the right. No there isn't a strap that will hold it down, but the fit in that pouch is so perfect that when I sprint for like 25metres (as example) it does not shake and won't fall out.

    Leg Holster MaverickDualHolsters

Picture - You can go dual Mavericks. I don't have a spare Maverick "Cylindrical Clip" but it does definite fit those pouches.

    Leg Holster NFw-oholster

Picture - My NF Cut down to size. If anyone is curious. The Mods are AR removal, Teflon under O-Ring (can vacuum load) and spring addition.

    Leg Holster NFw-holster

Picture - My NF Cut down to size inside the holster. Awesome.......
If you're wondering the NF is very nicely fitted in there if you sprint or 'crouch' it won't fall out. Even with out that 'strap' down on the gun.

Hope these pictures help you guys.

i like a tight close, easily accessible set up.
mags on my shoulder straps actually make a quick reload.
high mounted hip holsters make it easier to slide into cover.
few clip holders to the side but not directly infront of the top of my legs easier to run.
and a camel pack on t eh back just in case i get thirsty.

thinking about a bum pouch or a bucket set up with a swing if i get this vulcan.
if any one has seen or played as rico(heavy gunner in killzone 2)
    that set up.
