True, My mistake then. There is no reason why they would seize a longstrike.

All those crazy Americans painting their guns bright pink?
Then shipping them to Australia?
Thus: "Importing Guns from America"
I can see how customs would seize them, but provided they have half a brain, they shouldn't.

Re: Buying Nerf Guns Of Amazon
Every time I have tried to order guns from amazon they say they will not post them to Australia.
DVDs and books are fine, but the larger items seem to be a no go.
Customs wont care, but if you do get them to ship expect painful rape on the postage cost.

Re: Buying Nerf Guns Of Amazon
well actually that makes sense TBH
When the long shot first came out it was the blue model, which was banned here (which is why there were so rare). So I guess it makes sense for customs to seize it. (may also explain why mine took 3 MONTHS!!! to arrive at my door).
But as far as the yellow ones are concerned, importing is quite legal.

Re: Buying Nerf Guns Of Amazon
Why does everyone think that the blue Longshot was illegal to sell retail when it first came out? Did it not cross the minds that Nerf was not at its prime here back in 2006?
I mean, Tidge bought his first blue LS costing around $110 to get it here when it first came out. It says something about Customs and the contradiction that arises when you all talk about this "banned" rubbish.
On the subject note, no I was not able to get an ERTL RFSG through Amazon. Prove me otherwise, bitches.

Usually they ship books, dvds, cds, etc. to Australia - but not other items, such as Nerf guns. I've tried in the past
But do tell me if they've changed their rules! (and the shipping's not hideous)

I say I dissagree with both your statements because their not nice to me as I hack and im a "Yank" but on a serious note personally I wouldn't buy off Amazon well the US amazon I'd buy of the UK as it'd be less postage traffic coming this way from the UK than the US so you'd probably get it faster! TBH I dont truly know I just like to pretend I do!

I got my first blue LS for around $80, but not after the first one I bought was confiscated
The blue LS was not necessarily banned by law, but in almost all cases they were confiscated by customs at the airport. Nobody was able to get there hands on one, thus it was dubbed 'illegal' to import (not to own)

Re: Buying Nerf Guns Of Amazon
Frankie, when did you try and bring it through customs? I have been to the US every year and for the last 6 I have been bringing LS and other assorted nerf paraphernalia and never had a single problem. I have 3 blue LS and they were no problem at customs...
