Nerf Longstrike Cs-6 Review:
Let me start this review off by saying this: I made a mistake 7 months ago. Want to know why? Because I wasted $40 on a blue, plastic, piece of garbage A.K.A my Longstrike. I'll tell you why. I'm going to break this review up into 4 major parts. These are: Cosmetics, Performance, Modding Capabilities, and Price per dart, distance(feet), etc.
Cosmetics (Looks):
In my opinion, the Longstrike is one of the best looking nerf guns EVER made. Probably the best.It ranks up there with the Longshot's tank-like looks and the vulcan's straight-out of Rambo looks. No doubt it looks good. Measuring over 3 feet, with a nice bolt action (reverse plunger) system, it looks pure awesome, but does it perform?
RATING: 9.5/10
Performance:
If only looks alone could win you a nerf war. But, unfortunately, they don't. And that's why I would never use the Longstrike in a war. Although the Longstrike looks like it could pack a serious punch, it barely reaches "Meh" level. The things to blame? The reverse-plunger system, and the useless barrel. Now, before you guys get your testes in a twist saying "You can take off the barrel", I hope you realize it's meant to resemble a SNIPER RIFLE. The last time I saw a sniper rifle without a barrel, was, well, NEVER! Alright, now that I've let off some steam, lets get back to the review. In short terms: The Longstrike performs terribly. These are my measured ranges (with the front barrel on, and un-modded):
Flat: After 6 shots, the average distance was 17 feet.
Angled 45 degrees: After 6 shots, the average distance was 28 feet.
28ft? Not too bad stock.
But then again, we want a sniper rifle, not a mortar.
RATING: 4.5/10
Modding Capabilities:
Not many. Aside from the general AR removal, clip lock removal, and the (terrible idea) spring stretch, there isn't much left to mod. The only Longstrike-exclusive mod is the detachable stock mod. I'll agree that the fixed stock is the closest accessory to a real sniper, but when I'm chasing down a bud through a forest, the only thing I want hitting my shoulder, is nothing.
RATING: 7/10
Price per.....:
Since you might not know what I mean by this, I'll explain. I'll explain how much the Longstrike costs per thing it does. For example, if it gets 17ft. stock, and it costs (at the least) $30, that means each foot in distance it reaches costs $1.76. So lets get started:
Price for the gun: (At the least) $30
Price per dart included: $30 divided by 6 darts included= $5 per dart.
Price per foot reached stock: $30 divided by 17ft. stock= $1.76 per foot in distance reached.
I don't know about you, but $1.76 per foot. My stock barricade costs $20 and hits 30+ feet.
RATING: 4/10
Total rating: 25/40 or 6.5/10.
All in all, it's not too shabby, but it's not the best. (That's what she said):D
