Nerf wallmount ideas ?
Hey everyone currently this is my work in progress wall mount set up, using 14lb fishing line with wall pins. Does any body have any better more creative ideas or setups. I want to keep it minimal with maximum weapon visuals. Also if u have a pics of your weapon displays please post them.

I pretty much just put my blasters on the ground leaning against the walls lol. It would be neated if I did have a wall mount though <,<.

You should do what they did in kick ass:
I assume that the guns are rested on large nails hooks of some kind, always something I wanted to try out :p

You can buy either steel or masonite peg boards, and the associated pegs of various lengths.
I've got a few pic's of my set-up on here, as does GirlyGamer.
Cheers,

Man I LOVE that movie!
I've got it at home, and just watched it for the millionth time last night.
A little trivia...the little girl appeared on "my name is Earl" in the episode with the ride on mower beauty pageant (with the psyco knife throwing mother) and speared Earl in the leg with a knife.
Oh...err...and yes, hang your blasters that way. Looks the shizz.

Re: Nerf wallmount ideas ?
I have used white peg board with zip ties to hold the blasters in place. I only hung my better looking blasters that don't get much use though so I don't have to worry about pulling them off all the time.

Re: Nerf wallmount ideas ?
Like Clunk said.. pegboard all the way. I got help here when I was looking into it (thanks Clunk!) and it turned out great. It also wasn't that hard to do (a few wooden batons screwed into the wall studs (ie not just the plasterboard obviously as it will be heavy once all your guns are on it). The great thing about the pegboard is, you can buy different sized hooks AND you can place them wherever you need / like, so you can arrange everything however you want to.

Re: Nerf wallmount ideas ?
The stuff in the Kick Ass screencap looks like Slatwall, very common in shop fits. Laminated boards with metal rails every 150mm or so, then you slide metal pegs/prongs or acrylic shelves & signs, into the rails.
I've got an idea for a gun wall that I need to experiment with. The wall itself will be a sheet of cold rolled steel and then I'll glue some powerful neodymium magnets inside my blasters. Then BAM! they magically stick to the wall.
The magnets would need to be strong enough so that the blasters don't slide down the wall due to their weight. Also it might depend if I can place the magnets in parts of the blaster that are touching the wall.

Magnetic gun wall
I for one think that the magnetic gun wall would be very doable, those damn neodymium magnets are crazy stong!

I'd be laughing when you get the polarities wrong.

Re: Nerf wallmount ideas ?
Is polarity even an issue with a single magnet to a steel sheet? Not planning on using two magnets if I don't have to.

Nope, won't be an issue. Obviously, using two magnets is a waste of money and impractical, especially if the backboard is going to be sheet meta...

Re: Nerf wallmount ideas ?
I would suggest the same setup I'm going to attempt, as others have said a sheet of pegboard and holders like you would find the packages of darts on is best. Cut the pegboard to the size required, if you don't want holes in your wall and want it to look professional, build a wooden frame for behind the pegboard and make a flat built up base with enough weight to counter-balance your guns and attach the pegboard to it on one side so it looks like an "L" and then paint it if desired and place your hooks and hang your guns up. Presto, it'll be looking store bought in no time.

Re: Nerf wallmount ideas ?
Now that I think about it you could double-side the pegboard and place it in the center of the base to form an upside-down "T" to display on both sides if you wanted, hell you could even add casters and roll it around behind you.

Re: Nerf wallmount ideas ?
Baron_von_Ottobat: Further to that idea, attach pegboard to one or both sides of a clothes rack like this:
$20 from IKEA: http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/00181034/
Could probably do it with zip ties or a few bolts to sandwich the pegboard either side of the frame if you want it to look more professional, job done.

@JayDesu.
I can't help but look at the Gunblade and the Keyblade, did you make them yourself? Just interested as I replicate props as a bit of a hobby/part time job.
On topic: I'm currently using an old cupboard that was given to be from an ex-room mate, I've fitted the back with MDF and added hooks to hang my guns on, and the clothes rack to hang ammo belts and various other bits and pieces off, as an added bonus it has a lock (although somewhat crappy, it can be opened with a screw driver) that I can lock away my guns so its out of sight from friends and family wanting to spray bullets everywhere and loosing them throughout the house...

yeah I made 'em. MDF is my friend. The gunblade is held up by nails and picture frame hooks (another budget wall mount option)

Re: Nerf wallmount ideas ?
I reckon if I hung my blasters up, my young fella would just pull them all down on the floor, so I save him the trouble, and that's where they go lol. However they are at least put in a large wooden box.....Most of the time.

Re: Nerf wallmount ideas ?
Clunk, do you have any missiles for that Ultimator? If so make a firing demo (or make an adaptor so that you can use darts with, without destroying the missile functionality).
On topic, I use good ol' peg board, with some blasters on a pull-out platform under my bed. Fortunately my dad paid for the pegboard so my room wasn't so messy, haha.

It's definitely on the cards for being singled to take darts. Just having issues getting the pvc fittings, so I don't have to cut in to the blaster... guaranteed, when it happens, oznerf will be the first to know (unless it's crap... but seeing the recoil will make up for any lack in range!!)
