Basiclly I have 7 nerf guns and the elite alpha troopers coming out in June and im really excited. I really want one cause I didn't get the original one. I am not a modder so I wouldn't really need it for buisness reasons. I just want it for a nerf war I've got 7 compared to other people that's alot. Also I'm not allowed to buy another nerf gun for a year.

Save some money.
Then go buy one, they cant stop you when you use money you have saved.
As for getting them to buy you one, you will have to wait for birthdays and/or christmas, like most kids have too.

I am buying it with my own money. But they say I have too many or they will ground me for buying one.

Be prepared, it doesn't change when you get older and have a partner. I still cop it for buying another one before selling off the ones I don't use.

Then the answer is easy, be like me and be single for life. Many partners and parents dont get the Nerf thing. Personally i just think your parents are bluffing just too try to get you not to spend your money, how they want you too spend it. Therefore play their bluff and get more Nerf, they will most likely just sigh and that be it.

I don't think most people here really get it. Some parents be crazy and smash their kids toys because they don't like em.
I reckon if you want some good reasons then give them reasons that make them sound like better parents. If you can show that the nerf blasters are making you more active and social it might just do the trick. Try setting up wars with you friends and stuff, ya know? Of course I don't know your parents so I can't tell you this will work.

^^This.
You could be out drinking every weekend and spending the same amount of money, you could hanging around the wrong crowd, you could just sit on an xbox all weekend.
Instead, you're getting up and active. sure, Nerf can be expensive, but compare it to team sports with the cost of jerseys, getting to and from training, membership fees and the time commitments, it works out a lot cheaper and less time consuming.
Before Nerf (and even now, but to a lesser extent because I'm a family man now and don't get enough time) I was really in to Freestyle BMX. that costs A LOT of money, the bike sitting in my garage is a fully custom built rig worth almost 4 grand, and at one point I had 3 set up, and over the years I've been through at least 10 bikes ranging from $1000 to $4000. add flights to go to cairns, and other travel, maintenance on said bikes and safety gear, I've spent well over $40k.
Add up your Nerf collection. every blaster you've ever bought, every mod kit, then add in the cost of any wars you've been to and travel to those. add up the cost of injuries/time off work and calculate the cost. Being in Nerf for 3 years and having expensive taste, I'm yet to crack 2k. my most expensive baster (waiting on a mod kit) cost me about $220 so far and will end up costing me about $300 by the time I'm done.
try talking to your parents in that way, by the standards of other hobbies and sports, Nerf is EXTREMELY cheap, and not very time consuming, but it has the same benefits of any other "active" hobby.
I was also going to so that storage is a massive downside to Nerf, but then I looked at my garage with the 10 large boxes of bike parts, 8 frames and 3 bikes, and remembered that bikes definitely take that crown.
anyway, end rant, kinda got sidetracked.

I will try and join some wars. I don't really know how to set up wars. But what you said about that nerf is cheaper than sports and hobbies, you are right. I added up all my gun and accessories I've only spent $173. When with another sport or hobbie I could spend more. I saw in the war thread that there's a war in Victoria, I will try to attend if I can, but that was very useful information, thank you.
