Stockade motors in an N-Strike Rayven? Empty Stockade motors in an N-Strike Rayven?

    Post  Seafood111 Mon Jan 20, 2014 12:45 pm

I have an N-Strike Rayven and an Elite stockade. What I want to do is replace the Rayven motors with the Stockade motors for some extra performance in my Rayven. I would also be putting 3 Trustfires in the stockade with the Rayven motors. Would this be worth doing?

The reason I'm doing this is because I am in favor of the Rayvens looks when I still want the increased range.

From my experience, a Rayven with 3 trustfires fires far enough, so it is not really necessary to replace the motors unless the replacement motors are much more powerful than the stock ones, such as RM2's.

One thing about rayvens is that they have a very long 'faux' barrel which can decrease range. They also have quite a heavy trigger pull, which you can fix by filing out the channel that the trigger rod thingy goes through.

What if I put a second set of motors further down the barrel. Would this increase range?

Theoretically, yes. But it would be an insane amount of work to put them in, and it wouldn't increase the range much. try remove the resistors and run 3 trustfires. The results will be more than adequate.

Thanks for all your help Sanchez! The reason I asked the question is that I saw some guy do it. The name was the Quad-Rayven if I recall correctly.

No problem, I think I found a picture of the quad rayven. I guess you could try, but I don't think it's going to boost the range all that much, seeing the velocity isn't going to decrease all that much during that 10 cm of travel.
