Does anyone know how to efficiently reinforce the boltsled in a recon so that it does not break?

    cheers for any help.

The boltsled is one of the pieces least prone to breaking.. but ok.

any of the longshot reinforcement techniques can be applied

most generally involve bonding something more solid to the inside of the boltsled frame

I just completed a LS boltsled which I laminated in Aluminium... its the shit

other guys just use brass rod

the unholy 3 are using carbon fibre now, because you know... thats normal

anyways there are multiple threads on Nerfhaven about this, most will be for the longshot but the techniques can be adapted easily, just make sure whatever you reinforce with does not impede the travel of the reverse plunger, or impede the full stroke of the boltsled which will result in the gun not catching properly

    cheers man,

i just used a thin Aluminium sheet cut to shape and epoxy glued it to the inside of the sled, was a little messy but its working so far

are there any other parts that are prone to breaking that i should look at?
