hey guys this is my first tutorial so go easy, i was looking through big W to find a tek 6 so i brought it. when i took it home i discovered the ranges were Sh*t and the barrels would not take stream lines or stefans neither did the buzzbee darts fit well either, so i decided to do a hep20 barrel replacement and this is how i did it.
materials:
a saw or dremil
540mm of hep20
scalpel or Stanley knife
some kind of glue i used pvc super glue
screw driver
course sand paper
open up the gun a remove the turrent, its easy to do. and yes the rotating mechanism is apart of it and can not be removed. the turrent is molded together so dont try pulling it apart.
now you will see the barrels will slightly shape bigger in the middle, you will want to cut the barrels of there note, you can not cut right through you have to cut around the middle piece other wise you will screw up the whole turrent.(keep both pieces, as it can come in handy later)
next get your hep20 cut into 6 x 90mm pieces, now get your scalpel or Stanley and shave down about 10mm of your hep20 and sand it until its smooth and its a nice tight fit into your piece of turrent, do this to all 6 pieces
now fit all 6 pieces tightly into your turrent and glue them all up. (if they are to tight sand some more of, you only want firm fit because the glue will seal it up)
now your second peice of turrent comes in, grab it and force it on to the end of your barrels dont worry if it cracks you can fill them in and clean it up nicely with some type of putty (your choice)
put all your gun back together and your ready for paint.
here's my end result.
