    Howdy all,

Knowing that a lot of people dual wield their Mavs I just wanted to know your favourite methods of cocking the Mav.
Right now I've got a lanyard hooked into the slide and over my shoulder, but it restricts freedom of movement and stops me from being able to spin my blaster, so I wanted to see how the rest of you do it.

    Cheers.

Place thin rope or wire through the holes in the back of the cocking arm, then attach the other end to your belt or holster, to cock, just raise your arm high enough.

This will however restrict maneuverability slightly, yet I find this to be the best method around.

Tie the slides to each other and pull apart to cock.

I read about a fellow on NerfHaven that ran two lanyards that were tied to each other, one to each Maverick's slide. The link then ran behind him and across his back, meaning that he could cock the Mavericks by pushing them forward.

I don't have any pics of my mavericks at the moment, but with a bit of imagination, you can figure it out

Basically, on the cocking slide of each gun, I've epoxied in some "teeth". These teeth match up with the teeth on the other gun. To cock, "mesh" the teeth together on the guns, and pull in opposite directions. It's kinda hard to explain, so hopefully I'll get some pics up tomorrow (camera's charging at the moment), but it works reasonably well, without restricting your movement, and looks really badass when you pull it off.

Thanks for all the replies people, so far I'm leaning towards flyjammer's post because if I can pull it off and practice it a bit more it would look totally badass with a chain instead of string and I can make it look like some wicked crazy nunchaku/blaster hybrid.

Also tried you idea neumein but I don't have the tools/time/skills to attach some "teeth" onto my blasters, although it would probably look totally boss if I could.

    Cheers!

It would be eaiser and far more practical to just to New York Reload, instead of using them both at the same time.

either that or the much cooler way: http://nerfhaven.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9920

Just checked out a youtube clip of a "New York Reload" and I'm not really feelin' it. Same thing with the MantaMavs.

I like being able to hit more than one target at the same time, plus it looks totally badass wielding dual Mavs with both arms outstretched to the side

How about this, this might look super retarded... but put small solid hooks on both your guns cocking mechanism.. so everytime you need to shoot you line both hooks up and pull together and it cocks both guns at the same time(make sure they are wide hooks so its easy to take unhook)
or if you wanna do it so you can shoot with one hand reload with other... try this way.. still have the hooks there but put like a large ring on your front shoulder? but you'd have to make it so its easy to line up and remove..
i have plenty of ideas just dnno if you really wanna spend alot of time working on this mechanism i mean they are just mavericks..

The goal is to keep the Mavericks able to be aimed at the target while cocking both of them, and I don't think your method enables that.

Thanks for the answers guys but I've gone with hooking the Mav's together with a chain so I can pull of some Gun Fu moves to confuse them while I pop a dart in between their eyes.
