Recon Mod and grenade launcher Ideas

hey, i just bought a recon the other week and i have already taken out the AR's and have done a spring stretch and i was wondering what else i could do to the recon.

I am also trying to make an underbarrel grenade launcher, so if you guys have any suggestions for that please help me. my main concern for the launcher is how i will make it connect to the barrel extension (prefferably by tac rail).

hey man, get your plunger and wrap e-tape around it about 5mm wide and 2-3mm wide at the base so it compresses the spring.

@biggles, thanks for the link, its really similar to my idea for the launcher except i was gonna cut a larger hole in the front of the tac light and use a piece of pvc pipe for the barrel.

When the plunger breaks buy an aluminium one

Go on youtube and look up FrappacinoINC. He has a great technique for making one. Infact I'm going to make it.

If you have a secret strike you can put it into the recon light, but you have to do a bit of work to the light so the secret strike can fit.

Put a Mega Missile on the bottom of it.

You're just blind. Only found in Toyworld and TRU. TRU is cheaper but it's the 1st Gen. I think Toyworld is 2nd gen but it's $6 more expensive.

It would be pretty cool if someone made a gun that shoots thoughs scatter blast vortex things but it would be kind of pointless, maybe just like a scatter blast shot.

I remember seeing scatter blasts at target back in 2008, when you could get the 30 dart packs in the mesh bag for $10. Loved it ;_;

My Recon broke last weekend even though I had padding in the plunger. I'm considering buying an aluminum plunger.

How much will a new aluminum recon plunger cost?

I have made a few but they sometimes work and sometimes dont
One person has 2 recon guns and it works great on one and not so on the other.
Likewise I went to a friends place and I demonstrated it, great. Go to put it in his gun, not so great.
I will be making them slightly larger then stock and including an o-ring for $50

I have an idea to make a 'Smoke Grenade' and launcher, but I'd need some kind of non-toxic cloudy gas which is lighter than air. Ideas?

On Youtube I saw a video from kipkay on how to make a mini fog machine. You can buy the fogger on ebay and it creates that dense fog when it gets heated, or you could always use talcom powder.

By larger do you mean longer? and what does making the plunger larger improve?

No internal diameter
The plungers are already longer and require the end of the black plunger cover to be cut off
It doesnt do much
My aluminium plungers slightly decrease the power
I am sending some off to see if they the larger plungers work on all guns

Well if the larger plungers are more successful I would be interested in buying one from you.

I've just had a thought though, Do you think it would be possible to convert the recon into a direct plunger gun. I'm gonna do some research and I will ponder on it for a bit longer, then I might do some drawings for it. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to think of a way of making it a direct plunger gun without completely replacing the internals. so far i have a basic idea of what i will do, the hard part is the catch.

if you can draw it i can make it in aluminium
is there an example of a direct plunger somewhere?

A longshot is an example of a direct plunger gun.

What sort of drawings do you need to make the pieces out of aluminium, hand drawn or CAD?

Anything that gives me a good idea and provides accurate measurements
Someone is going to be making a direct plunger for me in plastic to replicate in aluminium

I don't I will make my own direct plunger internals, i reckon i might just get the internals out of a night finder and just put them in the recon. @chrisb If this idea doesn't work i will definitely be interested in an aluminium plunger

Provided I get a working example it should'nt be a problem to make direct plunger recon mod

My idea dude would be attaching A mega missile on the bottem of the recon you will have to rearange the pump set up and plunger so its almost level this is so the mega missile frame dont stick out to much than use 16mm or 15mm HEPA pipe which ever is more perferable as your barrel material. This way you can still shoot rockets and stefans
