If Barrel Break is only available at TRU, where are we going to buy one now?

Re: Available Nerf Blasters in Australia
Apprently Longshot's arnt going to be made anymore.
If you can find a Longshot, or better yet, a crossbow, you would be lucky, as they are both discontinued.
That's what someone commented on a post on Nerf's Facebook page.

"discontinued" on TRU systems just means they wont stock it anymore - had a lady try to tell me bandolier kits were discontinued - walk into any kmart and try and say the same haha
No real loss with the barrel break....

I'm yet to see one anywhere.

I'm sorry, but I find that a little hard to believe. It's been a massive hit for Nerf, and to make me even more suspicious of this information is that it's only a few months old., so why would they discontinue it already? I think that Toyworld guy was having you on.

Re: Available Nerf Blasters in Australia
I doubt it, otherwise they would have discontinue the nitefinder. Hasbro is a company with share holders and like any other company the most important thing is money and the stampede is probably the highest selling and most profitable gun at the moment. Thats based off it being the most expensive and everyone seems to have one.revo wrote:I have More info, Nerf are going to discontinue the Stampede, The reason being that you can mod it to much lol, this was from a employee at toy world

Agreed. Stampede is the highest selling Nerf Blaster.
Toyworld isn't a reliable source, you'll have to actually get a hasbro representative to confirm that

Well not every staff at TRU is a reliable source. In fact when I called up TRU at Bankstown earlier today and asking for possible stock on Barrel Break, I was told TRU doesn't stock it. When I told her it is supposedly only exclusive to TRU, she said maybe it meant TRU in USA. Geez, reliable source my foot.

Sounds like this employee just wanted you to "panic-buy" some Stampedes, for fear that they'd soon be gone.revo wrote:I have More info, Nerf are going to discontinue the Stampede, The reason being that you can mod it to much lol, this was from a employee at toy world
Anyway, back on topic:
Target at Highpoint has a shelf full of Stampedes. I didn't see a price, but I assume they're around the $70-$80 mark.
Big W at both Highpoint and Sunshine had a few Longshots and several Barricades.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that Target at Highpoint also had a few sets of the Camo streamlines and ammo bag.

So you and Joey are indicating revo is just an unreliable and lying TRU employee? revo, how are you going to defend yourself now?

Re: Available Nerf Blasters in Australia
Well let's get one thing sorted.
revo doesn't work for TRU or Toyworld...
revo said:
Barrel Breaks and Longstrikes are discontinued - from TRU employee.
and
Stampedes are now discontinued - from Toyworld employee
I can see the Barrel Breaks and Longstrikes being discontinued but not the Stampede.

I'm discontinuing this discussion, this is meant to be a product awareness thread. As in...
I saw x guns at "insert location here" for $x.
I'm going to start enforcing this a lot more from now as it's getting too messy to sift.

Re: Available Nerf Blasters in Australia
EDIT: Target is having 20% off Nerf! Starting 27th, I believe. Picture is attached.
The Big W catalogue that starts tomorrow is officially up on their website here:
http://catalogues.bigw.com.au/portal/embedcatalogue__SingleLocationView__normal__view__set?pageview=two&CatalogueID=12949800788306&gotopage=1.
If you can't be bothered looking, it's the Barricade and Deploy for 'one low price' of $24.84, just as someone posted previously. Also Maverick for $14.74 and NiteFinder for $9.94. So, would I be better buying Deploy or Barricade?

It's the Nitefinder for $9.94.
Also, just underneath the maverick, it (seems to) says $4.74 for a 16 pack of darts, which is the cheapest I've ever seen them.
And I'd say get the Barricade, especially if you don't mind getting Trustfire batteries

I'm not sure, just go to their website and check the date for the catalogue.

Good news to all of you on the hunt for the good Big W prices, until Friday they've got most of the good stuff online with free shipping. That includes the $44.83 Raider and Longshot, $58.84 Stampede and Vulcan and Mavericks for under $15. Good for those of you who don't have a Big W around.
