ok i wanted to ask the question before opening my mouth and making myself look like more of an idiot than i normaly do.

What kind of silicone are you making the tips out of and how will they be as soft/softer than the hollow standard nerf darts?

Wondering why exactly you made a brand new thread for this?

The clearly wont be softer than the hollow nerf darts because those darts are, you know, full of air, which indecently is very soft.

But will be a lot softer than the stingers.

As far as "what kind of silicone", I assume it will be one that is synthesized from chlorosilanes, tetraethoxysilane, and other compounds which is then reacted with water as follows:
    n Si(CH3)2Cl2 + n H2O → [Si(CH3)2O]n + 2n HCl

    hopefully that helps you.

Reading further into your thread I see that you have asked "how will they be as soft/softer than the hollow standard nerf darts?", I may be wrong but I don't think inf0rm3r has ever said that they will be as soft or softer than streamlines.

Either way from what I can tell expect something that performs as good as the stingers (if not better), is almost as cheap to make and absorbs on impact quite nicely (not as much as the streamlines but A LOT better than those 'stingers'). Hopefully this should mean no need for facemasks, also makes us look more professional and they are a hell of a lot easier to make than the stinger darts too. Sounds like a win all round.

They will be solid silicone where the weight is made up, they will hurt more than streamlines but nothing in comparison to snap caps. It will still be a soft feeling.

    Performance will be brilliant.

if i could use these on my little brother with out hurting him too much or if they are an older persons ammo
