WINNER OF BRISBANE NERF GROUP'S FLYER: Elite.

Alright guys. I'm starting to realise that the Brisbane Community is dying at the moment. With North and South wars averaging 6-10 people and central wars averaging only 16, I need something to advertise for the Brisbane Nerf Group community. The facebook page I have made ages ago is this...

Here is the current 'logo' theme that was designed by one of genericwizardguy's friends last year. Just to give you an idea of what I wanted.



Anyway I need someone to design a poster so I can go to the streets of Brisbane and advertise this group. It may be the only way to spread the love if you know what I mean.

Conditions in the design:

- Must display the phrase "Facebook Group Search - Brisbane Nerf Group"
- Age 12+ (something along the lines of that) - e.g. Are you 12 years old or more, e.g. Age 12+
- Can have other phrases in it if you like e.g. "At home doing nothing with your life"
- Display a blaster of some sort. This blaster cannot be painted and in stock form.
- Nothing offensive obviously
- Oznerf can be advertised, but I wouldn't recommend it too much as lots of people now-a-days 'tlk lyk tis'. I'll do it anyway though.
- A4 Sized with 1cm indents.

The winner will get to choose from one of the following:

1. 50 Silicone Heavy Tipped Darts (streamline length)
2. 4 metres of 16mm Aussie Duct barrel material, perfect for streamlines or blue foam (Brisbane only, since it's a little hard to ship these)
3. Stock NiteFinder /w 25 Custom Stinger Darts

This competition is limited to those only who live in Australia. Winner will be decided by me and a few others on this forum whom I regularly keep in contact with. If you're bitching about the prizes aren't 'good enough', then you're a stinge... You got nothing to lose and possibly something to gain!

The competition will end on the 28th of June. I will probably be using the same poster for when I advertising this stuff for uni so if you could make the poster RAW (NO WRITING ON IT) and one WITH writing it would help me edit it for other occasions.

I WILL BE PRINTING THIS IN BLACK AND WHITE AS I WILL MASS PRINT THIS SHIT. So you might want to go for a colour scheme which will work well with those colours.

Please note, if there isn't any 'eye catching' submissions, then this contest may be called off... so do your best with your artistic like skills!.

Thanks for the submissions so far guys. So far Unknown has the most simplest, yet eye catching flyer / poster so far as he has followed the conditions I have laid out.

If you compare Unknown with the 'current BNG logo' it's something I can print out easily and go around shoving flyers up. Also I stated above on the original poster that I wanted something like that. Black and white, however I am open for suggestions.

- If you add some flying darts here and there, that would be cool too lol.

Here's an example why I want something like Unknown's design. However, if you can do a bang on job on thinking outside the box. I am open up for suggestions.



Just a half ass job of what it is.

I should also mention that I don't want anything stating that we 'modify' our nerf blasters or use 'custom made darts' as that will not be appealing for the public and law. When people join, they will find out about the modifications themselves. Also try not to use the "Nerf" logo unless it is displayed on a blaster you place on the poster design

Don't Forget you CAN NOT Use the NERF logo because of copyright and trademark!

Not exactly true, we can use it until they tell us to cease and desist. We are not claiming the logo or brand as our own therefore it technically falls under fair use.

If I am feeling artistic I might whip up something that looks good.

couldn't think of any catchy things, so here is just a template for you to do with what you want with.. plus the logo

Yeah I think that flyer looks and sounds really good. Just needs more info about ages, it sounds very fluent and all. That may lead to kids thinking it's for older people.

Looks great. Only thing thats a little awkward are the glasses.

I think perhaps use the Nerf Vision Glasses as this is a Nerf group after all. Also, in the eyewear list it's been listed as good to wear.

Tell your brother if he could add 'eye protection' to that guy and I will probably go advertise it around Brisbane if that's ok with him. You might also win these new silicone tips which have an extremely higher accuracy.

Mention foam wars/battle, dart blasters, etc. Alot of people wont know what Nerf is.

But good work on the art.

There's not really a point of mentioning 'blasters' and crap. The flyers are more aimed at me who already have Nerf Blasters which is a large amount of people. Basically, how do you explain "Nerf Blasters" being sold out during the mid year and christmas sales... exactly, I don't need to educate people what a "Nerf Blaster" is. I may need to along the future for the 'general public', but I'm more recruiting those who already own a blaster.

"PREPARE FOR WAR" - is mentioning foam wars and battles... why would you prepare for 'war' without preparing for anything? Haha, I have no idea if that makes sense.

At this point Elite. will be winning the dart prize or whatever he may so choose. If anyone else is keen on submitting, go for it.

Best to also recruit those who dont know about Nerf. If you think bigger picture, you will eventually have more members. was just a suggestion after seeing your very low attendance numbers, so in saying that, you need as much advice as possible, and should be open to everything.

You know how many people dont know about Nerf or Airsoft? You would be surprised. One day you will host a war with 50 people a side. Spread the word and it will, should happen.

The reason of low attendance members I'm think is more the fact that people don't even know about these 'Nerf Groups'. I have taken up on your suggestion but it may have seem it looked like I didn't.

Haha... mega advertisement for your modding. Also that how do you explain the waves of Nerf Blasters becoming out of stock each sale... it's due to the people out there. I will probably start advertising by placing flyers in front large shopping centres to see how many catch their eyes on them. Most likely near big outlets like K-mart.

Which also reminds me... I'm not going to advertise 'modifications' on the flyers as it may be 'frowned upon' to the public. Most people will pop on youtube anyway and have a go. Some won't, some will.

How about starting an actual club?

Have it listed and everything.

But yeh, around the shopping centres would be ideal.

Already planned way ahead of you. Going to be setting up a stand at university to advertise the Nerf Club. Except I'll be calling it 'Foam Sports at "name of university'. BrisbaneNerfGroup is another 'group' for all ages where as at uni will be specifically for students at uni.
