25/M/Brisbane and since last week addicted to NERF.

My other 2 housemates and myself bought a variety of NERF guns last week (bless the recent big w special) and since then then guns have spent more time in halves being modded than capable of shooting eachother with

My main project atm is a longshot with all the common mods + brass breech & barrel + front gun integration. Still trying to find better springs (can anyone in bris point the way?!)

The gun should be finished tomorrow night

There's a couple decent springs around for the LongShot.

My advice would be to get a spring from SilentScope, here:

One of us works for a plumbing store, so his knowledge of tube diameters & access to various parts has made this the natural choice first mods for all of us (as first time nerf owners)... Brass for the win BTW. Need more power! lmao

I really need to grab some AA batteries for the camera, should be photo-logging the progress of our guns to share.

There's a fairly big stigma attached to brass breeches, but they're really not that difficult, even for first-timers.

I'd only modded a recon before doing a BBLS.

Hope it turns out well for you. Just remember, the real secret is the plunger seal (and, I'm assuming you'd have access to bulk teflon tape, so you should be laughing!!)

If this mate of yours can get K&S brass at a wholesale or even trade price you could become very popular around here.

Unfortunately not. We tried all the materials that his work offered and weren't happy until we came around to the brass which we pay retail @ a cpl diff hobby shops in Sth bris.

Oh well, cheap brass is almost like a dream.
