The Doctor's Hydro Cannon Empty The Doctor's Hydro Cannon

Told you guys this thing wouldn't be stock for long. First, what I started with:

First pic after I got it out of the box.
First, find a cutting device of choice:

Next, take care of that annoying mesh in the nozzle:

Finally, shove some CPVC into the nozzle:

You now have a water gun that can shoot 60' flat with 10 pumps. I did test this with Lanard suction darts(all I had)'

Now, before the flame war begins, I did not take out the reservoir because I am currently at my uncle's, away from all of my modding supplies. Yes, the amount of pumps it takes is terrible, but I did not feel like taking anything out, or replacing the pump at this time. I actually had the blaster all opened up before I realized I could have done this, so I was pretty pissed. Yes, I should have put a longer barrel, but again, I'm away from all my supplies/tools/etc. Eventually, I will coupler this, make a pump replacement, seal of the tubing to the reservoir, and probably shotgun it with one of these.

Haha! Looks pretty nice actually. Hmm, maybe you should try a streamline or something and update us with your results. Taking some internal pictures would be cool too. Unless you just cut the mesh off and shoved it down the barrel?

I'll take pics when I have access to my good camera. And I'm pretty certain that with a barrel of about 1' and streamlines, the range would probably increase by about 10'.

Nice easy writeup. The Hydro Cannon also wins with its "looks" factor.

I could almost guarantee that you'd smash those ranges with a 1' barrel and stefan darts or even hotglue streamlines. Great idea though, I'm sure other oznerfers will build onto this.

Well, with my mods, i like to get away with the least amount of shell destruction possible.I also like versatility, so I usually go with couplers instead of making one permanent setup. Besides, with the sheer amount of air being let out of this thing at one time, it's begging to be shotgunned.

As far as looks go, I like it because it fits me really good. I'm a big guy. With other blasters, what usually happens is I get them, I open the box, and I'm like "wow, that's not as big as it looked when that guy was holding it". That happened with my Quadshot. With this, it's like "this is nice, finally something my size."

Also, just realized something. For you guys that want to mods this, it's probably not easy to tell what to use since I use US measures. I'm pretty sure that your 16mm pipe is the same as our 1/2" PVC, so what ever fits, or is the next size down for you, should be the same as our 1/2" CPVC.
