I need ideas for a gun and paint job.

Okay, I'm deciding whether I should get a longshot. Some people say its really good(and they should know, they pros.)I got the Longstrike first because it looked cooler, could carry more clips, and since I didn't research it, didn't know it was both horrible for modding versus Longshot and had less range. Also because the Longstrike was compact, I'm that light sort of dude. Now, I'm wondering whether I should get it.

Now, people will msot definitely say 'we can't help you, its your choice.' Actually, you can. Tell me which is better:No lognshot, or get the longshot. They can tell me how useufl it is, blah blah. Halpz, so?

Secondly, the paint job. I don't wanna waste paint. I'm lookign to make a black rifle(either Longstrike or Longshot, depends if I get LS.) It will be deep black, with silver and blue as highlights.

So, opinions on those? And PLEESE don't say its your choice. it is, but I would like some opinions.

Get one;
- direct plunger system (easier to upgrade/replace springs).
- still moderately cheap.
- already has a wide variety of mods available.
- decent range even straight outta the box.

Also don't paint your blaster black, make it original and put thought into it. Really make it your own.

Oh, not entirely black. I will put thoguht into it; its just that black is my main theme(being the LegionOfShadows and all.) I can see where you're coming from,a nd I udnerstand.

Besides, what stands out more in black than blue and silver?

@LegionOfShadows. Just so you know, any black matte OR military coloured paintjobs are banned at ALL wars in Brisbane. Within the Brisbane Nerf Facebook Group.

I would avoid any of those paintjobs. Why you ask? Because the public may mistake it for a bb gun, a paintball gun and as stupid as it sounds, a real gun.

Just be warned that if we do decide it's too dark to be used at a war. I would advise you to bring a yellow electrical tape so you can cover it up if you do want to use it. If not, we won't allow you to use it.

Just go for brightly coloured paintjobs (fluro). At the end of the day, the blaster will still shoot the same as it were when it was just in a noraml colour.

Please take natious stampede for example.



You want at least that much of it to be fluro to be able to be war legal. Try to keep the orange bits orange.

Yes I know. Unfortunately. Unless we're having an indoor war which is quite rare. Then we're stuck with brightly coloured blasters. However, you probably don't know this, but I can drum up a few events that had some sort of misinterpretation for mistaken for 'real' blasters happening in other parts of Aus.

NSW - A black matte painted titan was confiscated and the officers gave them a warning within the area. This was when there were STILL some brightly coloured blasters sitting around. Which means that I can't be biased about who gets to use a black matte / military painted coloured blasters. They approach with handguns drawn. Drastic, I know. So, that's how I remember the story being told

WA - Someone had a black matte coloured blasters (I can't remember what blaster), but the policemen came as a member of the public reported that someone was using 'paintball guns' within this area. Everything went nicely, but we don't want to deal with the cops.

SA - As I think remember Aj from Adelaide explained that he had a group of friends who had painted black Recons and policemen came with handguns drawn as per usual. They were playing at a public school.

Moral of the story is, this hasn't happened in Brisbane, but prevention is better than cure as people may say. Hope you understand =).

Paint it like my blaster, but paint the blue back, and the black grey, it should still look like a toy then

My idea is for the green to be at least as bright as the picture I gave(well, nautious gave, but I gave it to him.)I think that would be fine.

@Legion of Shadows. The green is fine. However, I would advise you to keep everything on the blaster orange. If you rock up and it seems a little darker and someone complains, just bring bright yellow electrical tape. I know a few people who have done that already.

If you play mw3 and know about weapon proficiency then you might like a gold gun, they're bright shiny and cool
