CWC - Strongarm Internals Empty Is this Hasbro competing with NERF mods? :)

Thanks for the work in posting that pic.

    Points of interest:
    - Turrent rotates on prime, not on fire.
    - Direct plunger system.

A couple of questions, if I may?

    - What is the purpose of the bottom-most actuating rod? What does it interact with in the turret? The trigger conceals the method for how/when it would be actuated...

    - How does the plunger tube/spring length compare to that of the Nite Finder?

    - From the photo, at least some portion of the typical air restrictors seem to be at the end of the plunger tube. Is that really the case, or am I trying to see something which isn't there?

Thanks again for the photos, and ahead of time.

I've added a couple more pics...

The turret rotates on the forward stroke of the priming bar, which is just after the catch disengages for the plunger rod. Hence why it's able to do slam-fire.

The bottom bar locks the turret in place. I've removed it from mine, and it didn't seem to make any difference whatsoever. I will need to check though, as I have a feeling removing it will allow for the turret to be reloaded when the plunger rod is primed and locked by the catch.

All of the AR is located at the front of the plunger tube. All that's inside the turret is a joining bar to accomodate the dart pegs.

I haven't really compared it to a NF, as I only have 2, and they're both modded... I may need to pull one apart though. For reference, I modded the strongarm, and replaced the spring with a Black Tactical NiteFinder V1 spring, and had to cut off 2.5 coils for it to fit.

Hope the extra pics make it a bit easier to understand.

    Cheers,

Just out of interest, with the AR since it doesnt look like it really engages a dart at all. does it really have to be removed? because it looks like it just engages the turret. therefore you would only need to work on barrel and seal?

Looks far more complicated than a maverick.

Yeh, I'm assuming it only prevent dry-firing, but it's a 30 second job to remove it. I figured that leaving it in there is just 1 more thing that can cause me grief down the track. Plunger to turret seal is basic to improve, I just cut another gasket out of some thin insertion rubber, and glued it to the original one.

It may look a little complex Jase, but really it isn't. The priming mechanism is far superior to the Maverick (always hated that pin inside the cocking slide).

Yeah true, the pin and the plastic around it was very weak.

Thanks again, clunk07. The added pictures answered questions I hadn't thought of yet

Interesting that it can do the 75ft thing with roughly the same air volume as a Nite Finder
