    Elite Longshot that fires Mega's

Post  Jeo on Sun Mar 03, 2013 1:47 pm

Wouldn't normally deserve it's own thread but stuff it, this does.

    My Last Dart

It's rounds are roughly 1inch depth by 4 inch in length. They come in new MCS-6 round Magazines. Again this will not be packing Whistlers, they are Mega Rounds, or MCS-6 clips. Complete new build, they are about 1 inch depth, 4 inches long. They have an immense velocity. 100 feet STRAIGHT not arc'd. Repeat NOT arc'd.

There was a slight mix up on the info I was told to release, but to clarify - it is a complete new PT (nearly 2 feet long) with a very stable bolt primer. The prototypes on play had an Electronic Plunger as well as a Super PT. It comes with a range of accessories - some never before seen. Get excited.

The colour scheme is inspired by many fans aesthetically changing the colours, but there was a need to distinguish the complete new sub-range generation blasters. Inspired by Stock fans, Modders and enthusiastic YouTube heroes.

The size of this blaster is in length 1.5metres long. Yes, 1.5metres long. Yep - that's 150cm. It took a sharp dev turn since feedback has been intense (thank you all fans!) and replaces "failed" LongStrike and LongShot blasters.

This sub range far exceeds the Nerf Elite ranges we know today (Electronic Plunger prototype hitting about 150 ft STOCK - STRAIGHT fired NOT arc'd).

It will retail for around £39.99 - in a bid to make Nerf more accessible to all pockets.

The tech-smart bipod is fully collapsible for heavy weapon deployment and automatically clips up when you are on the move. It's really awesome and not annoying one bit.

The Centurion uses a complete new never before seen internal mechanic system. The Super Plunger Tube (thanks to modders) has had an overhaul and this will not only keep Stock fans happy, but have modders switch up their A-Game with a Stock 100ft range. This is *NOT* arc'd Repeat *not* arc-fired. Some variants had Electronic Plungers, and "Super PTs".

The new Elite Mega darts (thanks again to modders and Stock fan feedback) has been evolved with new NERF technology to be more stable in flight, range and accuracy.

It supposedly has a 2 foot draw to cock it (!?).

There was already talk on one of the other forums (Nerfhaven, I think) about guys with 3D printers making an insert for the clip well that would allow the use of standard clips.

Then you'd only have to do a brass breach etc and have 2 foot of plunger (if it's true) firing standard size darts through a sealed barrel.

    Hmmm...

From the box art pics I've seen, the draw does look about that long. Shouldn't be too long before some pics of the real thing surface, I'd bet about 2 months.

I'm actually keen to see what the bigger ammo can do. It might fly more stable with some weight in the tip, and if so it'd probably have more hitting power without leaving bleeding welts or something. It's kind of like the anti-material rifle of the nerf world.

    Actually, you're right.

If it was necked down to standard size darts pushed by that already huge plunger, with all kinds of better springs/seals/improvements...it could be dangerous(er).

The big darts could possibly fly very well, especially custom ones, and with the larger diameter won't have the potential for piercing skin (which nobody wants).

Wouldn't hurt to shorten the thing a bit though...

Saw this today and I wanted to post it asap as it will answer a few questions.

Hopefully that's visible (I've never posted a picture before) if not there are a number of pics of an un-boxed centurion.

The firing test videos are interesting, it sounds like an absolute beast when it fires, but there's definitely 2 sounds when firing, which makes me want to see the internals really badly.

I don't know where to find the video again, but anyone who's seen the firing test videos will know what I'm talking about.

Oh, and on my previous statement of pics of the real thing being about 2 months away, well I guess that was a bad call. These baidu folk are pretty quick off the mark and seem to be getting a lot quicker...

I think that it could be Chinese that they were speaking. The Chinese government does have a history of not caring about what companies based outside of their country think when they go ahead and do what ever they want, meaning go ahead and play with and post images and video of products that Hasbro would prosecute people over if they were based in a country like, oh I don't know, Australia. Pockets posting disclaimers even more than he did before now.
