offtopic i know but... sniper?guy on a nerf forum.....

otherwise for the longshot ranges, take out AR's, create a better seal on the plunger head however you like, brass of other material breech, extra spring so on so forth. IF you REALY want good ranges your gonna have to sacrifice the clip..

I'm pretty sure that I told you that. Thats a little miss-leading, as they only hit that kind of range with an extra spring and seal improvement.

    And some luck.

The average angel breech hits about 90'.

What almost every breech design fails to address is the air loss that happens between the plungertube front and the breech, where that small o-ring is. I've tried almost everything and air still loves to leak out of that little place. To me, this is one area where reverse plunger guns are superior as they suffer no such problem, but then they suffer from far too many other ones such as deadspace etc.

Even angel's breech was maxing out at around 104', and please keep in mind this is with heavier darts. It is a massive struggle to get the fishing weighted darts we use over around 95'.

One thing i am really curious about is ice's singled design, he glues a coupler onto the black bit at the end of the breech (where they air loss generally occurs) and his breech is airtight, the plunger stops when he puts his had over the barrel, but he's never elaborated how he got that back seal so good and his pictures are shit. Also putting a coupler in there to me indicates it would reduce plunger strong so I'm even more confused..

I looked at it some more, he's totally replaced that bit with a 3/4 coupler wrapped in e-tape... would make a lot of initial resistance to the priming stroke but it sees to work for him...

    AR's are air restrictors.

Get a c-386 spring from bunnings, remove the stock and NF springs, replace with just the c-386 and a small (3 coils I think) of a mav or similarly weak spring so that it doesn't rattle around. Use some e-tape to make the plunger seal better (2 wraps is good) but you need to cut the e-tape so it sits only in the groove for the o-ring, not over the sides (it will cause too much friction then). Using this kind of setup I have a longshot getting 70-80 with a stock breech, but it can get as low as 50-60 if the darts are too loose in the breech.

FFS, it's a C-836, EIGHT THREE SIX. You sent me on a wild goose chase the last time and now you're doing it to this poor SOB. I will warn you that it's going to be hard to find the springs as I hunted around all the Bunnings in a 20km radius around me and cleaned them out of these C-836's. Mind you, there were only about 4 total and I've used some in my Nitefinders. I still have 2 left I keep as spares but you're welcome to have them for $6. Yes, I'm making 7 cents profit.

Oh, and I'm only selling to you on one condition, that you actually turn up to a war and buy it from me there. Not going to sell to backyard warriors who never turn up to wars.
