Clear Raider CS-35 Empty Clear Raider CS-35

Post  Swatsonia Sat Aug 14, 2010 3:42 pm

So, it was my birthday today and i got a clear raider - SCORE!

Anyway, the unpacking of the contents is rather enjoyable. Compared to the recon box, unpacking the raider is easy, with little cutting needed, and not twisty ties.

The raider drum/clip socket is relatively easy to assemble . . . once you've figured it out, and also if you're not tired and cramped from the night before.

Loading the drum, not as painful as i thought it would be. Drum works pretty well, when using slam fire it does tend to stick slightly when down to the last 10 darts.

The stock - my favourite accessory. Nice and comfortable, easily moving when you want it to, but as with all raiders, if you pull on the back it will slide out, but thats not too bad, especially as you won't really pull on the stock anyway.

Ranges - pretty sure I hit about 30 feet with most shots, but uneven pumping will give you some random shortfalls.

Overall, a great gun, and definitely worth a buy, great for stock wars.

At 17, your parents should have gotten you a modded raider, not a stock one. Congrats anyway. It was better than a teddy bear I suppose.

No. His parents give him the stock Riader so he can mod it himself!

    SCORE.

It is funny how he always plays the womenizer but in real life he is gay,
It is also funny that this review on the clear raider turned to a chat about Neil Patrick Harris.
Anyway can you please post pictures of the clear raider, I know its the same as a raider but clear, but pics are always good.

The raider in my opinion is extremely nice, and fits several play styles. you can run and gun (duh), go with the same approach as you would with a recon, and is excellent for close quarters. Also, the stock and drum are real selling points for me, as the difference in capacity is extremely noticeable, and the sliding stock feels more stable as well, although i cannot find where to put a strap on the stock.

Anyone know where to hook a strap to the raider stock with a standard laptop bag strap?

Um. I think there is a hole in the stock. It's shaped like a v. Oh, there's actually another one. On the top.

Yeah, i tried, but my clip/hook thing is too big. Oh well, I'm planning on only running with one clip gun each game anyway.

i have a clear raider as well but i got the priming handle (furthest one away from your body)and i sawed it off so it's kinda like a shotgun pumping style, because i injured my wrist a while ago and its more comfortable this way + if you try holding at the front of the priming handle the oragenge part on a clear one you will find cocking the gun is much smoother its the same when its been sawed

I don't think I am - It will be super busy and I will probably miss out :(. I just don't want to get super hyped for it, then get there and realize they're all sold out. I was already paranoid enough for the Half-Year sales as a sprinted through the supermarket to Kmart at 8:00 am on June 30 to grab a longshot, vulcan and raider (and i'm not disappointed :D). I suppose i'm excited on the inside, but I just don't want to be disappointed if i get there and find out everything except barricades (eew! no offence barricade users, just not a fan) are sold out... then walk over to where the stampedes were and see... the price tags..... $30!!!! OH NO!!!! I MISSED OUT >:(!!!!

anyway, i'll go just in case but i don't want to be hyped, for obvious reasons

I know your new, so I'll let you off, but please check the last post's date before posting, as reviving dead topics is against the rules (necroing).

    Thanks
