    -.-

So, does anyone here make/used to make/ play with/ make to smash/drop mouth open in awe at Airfix?
Any yes - for those who watch James May's Toy Stories, Airfix was the episode with the massive spitfire.

    I currently have a WIP airacobra, half-made.

Yes I used to make airfix models of WW2 aircraft. I made about 50 or so planes and 50 or so other models. But all the window guns kept braking which was annoying.

Yes, I did see the james may show with the spitfire. I think I could have done a way better job then those kids.

Yeah Airfix is cool. The humbrol paints recomended for the kits are of excellent quality and just perfect for precision gun painting. I used to buy Airfix models heaps before I began working on larger scale models by Tamiya.

I completed a model just last week. It's the German divebomber the "stuker". Not sure why but I tend to make German WW2 models.

I have completed a few over the course of these holidays, some include:

    -German Leopard Tank

    -German Mortar team

    -Sopwith Triplane (Not german)

    -German fighter Bf 109E

One of about 50 Italeri/Revell scale models built over the last 10 years

Also, not quite scale models, but still very cool nonetheless...

I once attempted to make a small model car...
But I failed miserably after I got the superglue
all over my hands. I threw the model in the bin lol.
No but seriously I think this is pretty cool and I
wish that I had the steady detailed hand that you need
    when making a complicated model.

I've still got the steady hand, but eye-sight is not as good as it used to be. I've virtually had to give it up. Maybe I'll look at larger scale models in the future.

You should really try using normal model glue. Alot easier, and allows for a bit of an unsteady hand
