NEW MELBOURNE MEMBER INTRO

hi guys NERFHERO here,
i recently re-ignited an old flame.
i had my fun with these as a kid and can definitely appreciate them much more as an adult.
i've been stumbling around here and nerfhaven for a few weeks now and decided to get involved and that i need another hobby besides cars

although being 24 i do feel a bit silly at times when i realize what im playing with here but still having fun

how many other older nerfers are there out there?


anyway current arsenal is:

vulcan (up for trades)
reflex

(have a dew ideas in the works for future blasters and mods, but thats all for now)

Indeed, welcome to Oznerf young one (jokes). There is many of us oldies still out here nerfing. Melbourne's nerf is getting stronger and soon my challenge Adelaide as the pwn..... nah, Adelaide will always be the pwn.

Not enough I believe I'm the oldest here by a narrow margin, but by no means the most experienced.

As a dad, it's sad to see Dads today bringing their kids to the war, then sitting in the car.

I've found it a great way to spend time with the kiddies, and a good excuse to get out in the fresh air.

Indeed, but we have had some "dads" join in with the fun sometimes. As for me , I am the one dragging my kids to the wars :P.

Maybe they host wars with blaster hire?

Yep, alot of my stock blaster collection is in preparation for starting up a Nerf community in town. It will help keep the playing field even, to get things up off the ground. I also plan on selling the blaster's cheap after it takes off - a little bit like dart hire.

Sort of a similar set-up to Winterstrike's RPG Nerf format.

Just trying to give a bit back to the community mate. Also, in a town like this with limited exposure to the job opportunities the world can offer, it's the sort of experience that could get kids interested in robotics, engineering etc. Instead of just becoming a miner.

I would personally forward a quick vid to hasbro. Telling them what you plan to do for the town. You may get a pro-deal. well they give you a good discount on further bulk purchases.
