Second range test....new heights.. Empty Second range test....new heights..

    Post  boosted6 Sat Jun 11, 2011 11:18 am

Just got home from doing a range test at my local park. I was out there for awhile, small gusts of wind, waiting for people to walk by, it adds up on the clock. I did my usual marking, and had some great results.

The TS is very consistent. It just kept shooting crazy ranges everytime. Priming it now feels like a compound bow, when its just past halfway, it just falls back into full prime position.
I lost count of how many darts i fired from it,i couldnt stop for awhile. People must have been wondering what the hell i was doing from a distance, running up and down with a paint can and tape measure.

Anyway, i did 2 tests, flat and angled. The flat test only gave me 139ft. I thought i would have reached more, but still happy with that.

What blew me away was the angled test. Of course angled meaning going for maximum distance.
215ft. At first shocked, yes quite, then an evil grin appeared..

That was with a 1.4gram dart, which is different from my others. I made it just before heading out. I put a screw into the blue foam. I was skeptical after making it, i thought just try it. This dart went so straight for 215ft my jaw dropped. Think i'm onto something, not to front heavy, with abit of weight running down the dart, screw was only 10-15mm long.

    There you go, 215ft.
Brass barrel test coming soon...maybe tomorrow.

Nice work, Boosted. (: Sweet ranges, quite impressed.

I reckon Hand Cannons are best for the singled version of HCs/TSs, because they have that front piece, which makes them look a bit nicer. Did you see my review on the HC Vs. the PAS? (:

Mine will be a competitor, once I get my brass!

I'm guessing it has all the MIG mods.. except that it's singled?

I'm only getting up to 30m with mine.. I still need a dremel to do the catch part of the mods. I hear it makes a load of difference.

Yep, its done exactly as MIG has done it.

I never dremeled anything on the catch, i cut a notch off, but thats it. Dont even dremel any notches in the plunger rod.

err.. I think that's what I meant. I'm no expert with the terminology.

The only dremeling I did was what you're talking about, and I only did a tint bit, because mine wouldn't quite catch on the eighth click. Ordinarily, you don't need a Dremel for anything. Although, to get the coupler to fit inside the back of the Orange piece involved a fair bit of dremeling it out, so the inside diameter was bigger.

You can do a whole modification on this blaster without a Dremel.

Lol, you're not an idiot, I forget. I'm talking about a Lanard Hand Cannon, not a Triple Shot, sorry. It's the exact same shell, just mine doesn't have a rotation mech or a turret, and it shot megas stock.

Yes doing that is good. You also have to trim the priming handles, etc.

This too, I believe they go hand in hand.

No i wouldnt bother putting the dremel to that.

Yeah, for real. If you have trouble getting it to prime on that eighth click like I did, you'll be able to use a bit of sand paper wrapped around a pencil or something to sand out a little of that track. With the other two things, you have to modify the priming handle which is already quite small. I didn't, I wouldn't. Eight clicks gives you a f*** load of power, don't even bother.

You don't need a Dremel for anything else. (:
