As the title suggests, I'm going to tell you how to add tightening rings to PETG (I will upload photos a little later). It's pretty simple really. If someone knows any other methods for this, let me know. I use this primarily to create a seal between PETG and 1/2" steel tube i use in breeches.
Get a heat gun, a small o-ring or elastic band and some 1/2" brass tube or something with an OD of 1/2".
Put the o-ring or elastic band around where you want your first tightening ring. Make sure it is tight on the PETG but not too tight. Heat this end of your PETG with the heat gun until the plastic starts to warp. IMPORTANT as SOON as this happens, take the PETG off the heat, and insert the 1/2" tube of your choice into the PETG, and push it through the tight spot. This makes sure that it is not too tight, and will also make the PETG the perfect size for darts or 1/2" tube. If you go too tight, do the same, but without the elastic/o-ring on, the PETG will return to its original size. This works well for adding tightening rings to PETG for better dart seal or for creating an air seal between PETG and 1/2" tube.
