A weekend of awesomesauce, full of a mix of east coast power with west coast style. We will be having several guests from interstate, to boot!

Timetable:
Saturday Morning: Epeen/high powered. 9 AM to 12 PM.

Saturday Afternoon: FF:H, Wingman, Bunker D and Pistols. 1:30 PM to 5 PM

Saturday Night: Pub night for over 18s. 7 till late. Travel needs to be planned accordingly, especially if you are driving.

Sunday Morning: Shenanigans in the park next to my house, 10-12.

Sunday Afternoon: Indoor CQB - Breach scenarios, TDM, Pistols and Bunker D. 2 PM to 5:30 PM Competitive round.
$60 entry per team of 5, or $15 for individuals. This covers hall hire and prizes.

Rulesets:
Foam Fortress: Hybrid (Foam Fortress: Hybrid Rules)

Epeen/high powered:
Minimum range for primaries - 80ft
Max range for pistols - 80ft.
Min engagement for 120ft+ - 10m
Min engagement for 80-100ft - 5m

CQB:
Max range: 80ft
Gametypes will have restrictions on full-auto blasters, so make sure to bring a manual springer if you want to use magstrikes, stampedes or the like.

CQB will be in a 5v5 tournament style, so interstate players should conglomerate where possible, but WA people will be happy to join you in your teams.

60 dart limit per person.

Darts: Stock darts, silitips, converted stock and snap caps are allowed, though snap caps are not allowed in any blaster that shoots over 100'/30m flat. Hotglue domes, slugs etc are not permitted.

Details of venues and times will be confirmed in the coming month.

What's the scene like in WA? I see you have an xbow but I'm hoping tha isn't the typical level of gear.

No, the xbow is most certainly NOT the average level of gear in WA.

WA is generally a mid-range type of game, with a lot of CQB aspects, you could say.

Basically, anywhere from 15ft to 90ft engagements are what you should expect for standard games. Epeen goes from 80ft to 120+, whereas indoor is capped at around 60ft normally.

We're a far more social group, less focused on "the peens" and more focused on fun.

I may be interested depending on my cash situation.

P.S. I'll be using stingers for EPEEN, since it ain't epeen without the stingers. Haha. Fkn airport security might go nuts XD. Lite Tips I will be using for CQB. Just need to know the prices of getting there now =). If it's abit steep, probably won't be able to go because I'm saving up for Thailand as well, rego is due and insurance is due near this time of year as well.

Just read the rules for hybrid. And I'm actually quite liking it. It's definitely a big improvement over WinterStrike previous FFP idea, since the rule seems too anal. This one seems to have MUCH more flexibility. Good work Swats =). No I'm not being sarcastic either. It's actually gotten me abit enthusiastic about this upcoming event.

Also, the rules relating to darts and their limitations are set, I will be enforcing the dart rules. So, you're more than welcome to use stingers if your epeen blaster shoots below 100ft, otherwise, you're gonna have to use stock/silis.

Ah right. I missed that rule. That sucks. Not really EPEEN now. More like your normal war haha.

Oh well. 100ft / 30m flat? My TS shoots less than that so it should be fine. Angling it will get better ranges.

Yeah, 100 flat to use stingers. Its more of a liability aspect, in case cops come. Don't forget thats maximum for using stingers, and we're not trying to kill each other.

Theres no compulsory dart hire, and since there is only an entry fee for the indoor, combined with Inform3r's recent closure of sales, it's not exactly viable.

Besides, you will only need 200 max over the weekend, we have excellent pickup rates here.

Haha. Epeen in general is a liability aspect. If we EPEEN will I be seeing these newly design covers I've been hearing so much about? Open field EPEEN, we may as well play 'Civil War' (a game type where we all line up and take turns shooting each other one at a time on open field).

You've dealt with the popos once, so I'll take that into consideration. When we have a RoF here in Brisbane, then stingers here we go =).

I suggest a cardboard penetration test. Two layers at 5 metres, and it's banned from using stingers. There's a few blasters I've bumped into, which excel in range, but they lack velocity. The shot blast for example, RSCB'd can get 1 layer, but it can fly almost 120ft flat.

Since WA is generally a mid-range scene, epeen is basically whatever you don't normally use. The 80ft minimum range for WA high powered just allows more people to be able to play.

We only utilise cover in indoor games (obviously), as the fields we play on have a decent amount of cover, and encourage movement and coordination. Besides, I helped design them, I haven't built them, that was Fayt's job.

With that cardboard test, it sounds fair enough, but the inclusion of snap caps isn't what I normally rule.

We've also had some scarring from stingers, which I also wish to avoid. There's practicality, then there's safety. I err on the side of caution, out of personal preference. Snap caps are great for RPs and indoors, not so much out of Big Blasts, etc.

Don't worry, if I'm using a air blaster it WILL be with heavy sili tips. They are just more accurate.

However, with my springers, I'll be using stingers since you need abit more 'range', where as air blasters, the difference is unnoticable, besides the accuracy you get.

As long as it has some sort of form for cover like 15metre trees apart that's fine with me.

Snap caps have much more penetration due to the hard tips, where as the heavies are harder for cardboard piercing since they're rubber, heavier and very slightly softer.

I'm not likely to be bringing an air blaster anyway, maybe for FFP, but nothing else.

Well you can be the judge for my TS / (maybe LS) when I rock on over (depending on my money situation). I'll be bringing like 400 stingers, 200 lite tips, depending how many I can fit in carry on XD.
