Gluing metals to plastics Empty Gluing metals to plastics

I'm currently working on a project involving some of my guns using very strong magnets. The best way to attach the magnets to the guns is probably some kind of glue, but I'm not sure which one to use. I tried hot glue but the magnets are too strong and they just peel off the glue, leaving the glue on the guns.

Do you guys have any tips on what I should use? I have some two part epoxy called araldite and I wonder if that would do the trick. I could go down to the hardware store and ask for suggestions but I'm thinking you guys would probably know more than some random guy who knows nothing about modding.

I'm putting this same post on nerfhaven but I'd prefer an Aussie answer me than yanks.

You should try Araldite (epoxy). You can buy it at most hardwares and supermarkets.

Epoxy Resin, not Epoxy Putty. Araldite may be the same thing, i dont know. I use it for gluing brass to Plastic. What are you using magnets on a nerf gun for?

Araldite is a type of epoxy, so it should work well.

I use Araldite to stick brass to plastic, so it might work for magnets

Thanks for all the tips, I finally decided on Araldite. I'll let you know how it turns out in 3 days.

I tried twice now and the glue wouldn't hold, the magnets are just too strong. Anyone have any other tips on a stronger glue than araldite? Something that melts through the plastic perhaps?
