    Hey mate welcome to oznerf.
About all that stuff you want to know, it's best if you just go looking around on other forums and what not, best chance is you'll find everything you need to know about modding etc.
About you toolbox dilema (i think thats how you spell it) i got a great green and black tool box for $8 at bunnings and for tools its best you you start with a screw driver set, some pliers and a hack saw maybe.

A Dremel or "rotary action tool" probably isn't a bad idea either. You can get one from Bunnings as cheap as $40 (I think). Makes plastic work a dream. Probably the easiest way to remove ARs and cut away plastic to make room for a custom barrel.

You know it's funny how many new starters there are. I am one myself! But I'm going to paint my Maverick today and I'm going to try the mod to make the cylinder come out further.

As Roger pointed out, you can't get CPVC Tubing here in Australia. However what you CAN do is buy 16mm OD DWV PVC Pipes to use as barrels, they're the cheapest alternative to CPVC barrels sold at around 2.35 dollars a metre. although they don't offer the smoothest barrel they still work well because the darts fit in the barrel very snuggly, enough to be able to make a breech for the recon...

    Hope that helped.

Normally I would be pissed off about people posting in a near 2 month old topic but...
Useful information was posted so it was okay. Where do you get this 16mm DWV PVC? Bunnings?
