Need help with RSCB Clip for my Nerf Big bad bow.

Can someone help me with my problem

I made a RSCB Clip for my big bad bow but I cant get it to work.

My big Bad Bow has a C-836 spring and a Stock Nite finder spring it

My RSCB is made up of a 15mm Tee Piece,15mm Elbow Joint,20mm-15mm Reducer,20mm Ballvale, 16mm Cupler,4" Inch of 16mm Stainless Steel Tube,260mm of 20mm Electical Pipe and Electical Tape.

I am using 13mm foam backing rod cut 5cm with a 7mm ball bearing in them for ammo.

It take 3 shot to get one dart to come out.

Okay, after that screw up, I can only think that it is the size of the rscb and the barrel. Springers are much harder to put an rscb on than an air gun, especially very large ones. The larger the rscb is, the harder your gun has to work to get a dart out the barrel. To add to the strain on the gun, the bad seal with the dart in the barrel means most of the air is escaping around the dart, which means that the dart is only getting part of the way down the barrel before all the pressure has escaped.

are the darts feeding into the barrel correctly. the back of the barrel where the darts enter needs to be funneled for it to work correctly

Your shaking it down, right? I'm sure you are. I agree with Roger, either that or the seal is terrible.

yes the dart are feeding into the barrel fine, I think that it the air is escaping around the dart in barrel I put one dart in it look though it to the lighting in the room and I could see light in next to the dart and before the barrel.

Clearly its way too loose then. RSCB's need a tight fitting front barrel

Yeah, from what I research you need to shake it down each time you shoot.

Roger has a Inline Clip, very useful mod there you have to flick it down so it will seal properly. and 'funnel' it like he says, you need a very good air seal for it too work... good luck!

Oh yeah you could, probably eliminate deadspace by using 1 inch darts.

So should I use 9/16 Brass would that be a better barrel to use.

You need a front barrel that has a tight fit on your darts and the back has to be a bit looser so the dart can slide down. Also I recommed a longer front barrel.

I would go for hep20 then.

No Heap 20 is to Tite for 13mm Stefan.

Thats why you sand it out a bit.

Just go around Bunnings and Hobby shops and take a dart and see what barrel is the best.

I knew it was the barrel, that stainless steel pipe is absolute shit. 9/16 or PETG would be your best bet.

Yes, if 13mm is the nominal diameter try some 17/32" Brass tube or some 16mm UPVC electrical conduit - in my experience is should fit nicely.
When i was playing with RSCB barrels, I used 16mm Aluminium tube or UPVC electrical conduit (depending on the stefan batch) nested in some 20mm UPVC electrical conduit. These materials fit together very nicely, usually with just a locating pin, small machine screw or even just super glue securing it in place.
