Hey i noticed a series (3-4) of small holes on the far end of the spring housing show in the picture below. These make a loud hissing sound when the gun is fired.
New set of air restrictors to remove Magstrike?? Magstr10

Could these possibly be excess air releasers (as a safety precaution maybe) and could these be blocked for increased performance???

Sorry if this has already been posted or is posted in the wrong area

    Peace

Correct me if i'm wrong but i believe those let the compressed air out.

ie when the piston is slung forward by air coming up and the spring pushes it back down it needs to escape. Bad explanation, i know.

    or

Piston goes forward, spring, or more air pushes it back and where does that air go? out
    those holes.

Don't block them is my advice.

Being blatantly honest, captain slug has optimized a Magstrike.. He misses nothing. You will think of nothing that he didn't think of and if he didn't do it it's for a reason...

Well, I think with pistons, air has to escape so it can move back. Just think if you get a straw, plug one end with your finger and then try an blow through it, you can't. Same thing with pistons, the piston has the air keeping it in the forward position. But once the air is sucked out from the hole, it brings the piston back with it, Therefor the cycle can start over, and the piston will advance forward.

Hope I helped/Added to foam militia.
