Vulcan Belt changes Empty Vulcan Belt changes

Post  Roger Explosion Fri Sep 18, 2009 9:23 am

Today I managed to find Vulcan belts at Toys R us. but these ones have some slight changes.

    Vulcan Belt changes Vbelt1
They are slightly shorter in length to the old ones.

    Vulcan Belt changes Vbelt2
The first pin is green now. and has an arrow on it, incase it wasn't obvious what way to put in.

    Vulcan Belt changes Vbelt3
The undersides are quite diffrent now. They now can't be loaded in upside down.

    Vulcan Belt changes Vbelt4
But heres the biggie. The last pin is gone. meaning you can't do the belt extension mod easily.

I don't mind if you post this info on any other nerf forums.

I find that the new belt seems to lead the first shot on better than the old belt. the old belts i found used to get stuck on the first pin often. But i used to

with the reduced size its much eaiser to put into the ammo can.

so the new belt has no upgrades/downgrades to the range, or rate of fire?

Nope. Such things would be atributed to the vulcan its self.

I have 2 vulcans myself, each with a 50 ammo belt, but the belts are 2 of the original belts together(don't ask me how I got 4 total).

Roger, I find there's are problems though.

1)The double belt won't fit into the ammo box anymore.

2)Due to the above, there's now too much weight pulling on the belt and the feeding mechanism isn't strong enough to pull the belt up and keep firing. One has to hold onto the belt manually or rest it on the ground.

Any ideas to fix the problem? I suppose I could chop the belt back in half, but I really would rather use a 50 ammo clip.
