    Firefly Failures. Empty Firefly Failures.

Post  Guest Thu Jul 01, 2010 8:51 am

Yup. First time opening up my Firefly. It would appear the screws weren't screwed in by lego robots this time. Annoying as piss to open, and I think that I may have completely worn out one of the most needed screws at the back of it (middle screw on the stock) and it won't come out.

So far, the cocking arm and bandolier hooks have come out, but this one screw is, well, screwed.

Any suggestions? (Other than to try sucking less. I've tried. Trust me.)

Well, I would suggest you just drill out the screws and hope it still works without that particular one... i guess you could try getting some poly morph and remaking the shaft where the screw goes into, and simply using a different screw.

When drilling out screws start with the smallest bit you have.

Wow, you and my father have the exact same mindset. Awesome. Dad helped me out and drilled it out. Wprks like a charm. The only really bitchy thing to do in this mod is lining up the plunger with the rotating breech. Oh lawd.

    Firefly Failures. Empty Alignment problem

Post  Guest Thu Jul 01, 2010 2:30 pm

SUBTOPIC TIME! Turns out, my Firefly has an arse ton of power. Only problem is that the alignment of the rotating breach and plunger is off by millimeters. Just enough to deny its abilities to fire streamlines and make it seem as if it were never modded (same distance as before, around 30 feet).

    ANYBODY! SOMEBODY! -Aj-! HEEEEEEEEEELP ME!

And yes, I have re-aligned it several times.
