Gosh Mirsho, you're going to end up with the best loadout in Sydney at this rate.

Hah, highly doubt that bro ! But definitely wanting to get myself a pair before July's war. I hear Xoenz has a pretty good load out, so I'm watching out for that guy.

Yeah he does, but at the last war he attended, it all broke (Lol @ his salvo :P)! There's a good chance he won't be attending anyway...

Anyway on to my question: I may be interested in a wipeout pistol myself. If you're willing to part with one of the two, perhaps something could be arranged at the war :P.

Only 20mm and above, you need to go to an electrical store to get 16mm.

I am thinking of re-barreling my Titan in a less conventional way...

By putting a larger tube over the stock (Peg?), and putting a smaller one inside that, and a smaller one inside that, and so on. When it gets down to dart size, the barrel will be longer for more dart speed.

    Good idea?

On the topic of conduit, does anyone else find that their 16mm is just a bit too tight? Mine measured in at like 12.5mm ID, and it was bought at an electrical store. I ended up actually using a custom sized spade bit to drill it to 13mm or there about. Also, it better to buy PETG for rebarrelling quadshot turrets?

Would this lubricant be suitable to lube my blasters' o-rings?

Yes, I know that Clunk has posted some ideal o-ring lubricants, but this is cheap, and I can use it for my torches.

I've kept the original missile post on my titan, and just nested some different-sized pipe inside it. Some steel handrail pipe used as spacers at either end and 25mm conduit inside of that. I have PETG nested inside 20mm conduit for my barrels. Works well, and missiles are still functional.

@Johnnus - that's the same silicon grease I'm using at the moment. Works well, but the tubs are very small. It's not really that economical when you play with as many blaster's as I have been, but it's very good in my opinion. I've experienced no damage to o-rings with it.

Side-note, DX is out of stock of the NexTorch grease. I got the final jar last week in my order, and have another 3 on back-order.

    Cheers,

    Cheers,

The economics is fine for me - I'd only use it occasionally when I have to open my blasters. Shame about the a) shipping time, and b) that it's back ordered.

    Thanks for that.

EDIT: Looks like I'll be waiting a while for it - expected to ship on the 13th (in 12 days). Add onto that their super slow snail mail rate, minimum shipping rates of like a month. Maybe 2.

It's good stuff, and isn't exactly expensive, but there are alot of cheaper options on the market.

It can't be too bad, I've got nearly 6 weeks out of the first jar, and that's probably about 30 blaster's or so, and there's still enough for maybe a couple more LongShot's.

Just saying, if you can afford it, you won't regret it.

    Cheers,

I think there's a few differences, but at the end of the day, it's what plumber's use to bond pvc piping.

Quick note: the blue version is standard, and the green version is pressure-rated. Different brands may not utilise the same colours, but the letter (P) should be on the bottle if it's design for pressurised applications. Doesn't hurt to have some of the red primer on hand either.

I'm not sure about the effects it would have on Nerf plastic.

You can get plumber's goop on ebay from the states, for $16 a tube delivered. Probably get a better deal on shipping for multiple items.

I'll ask a plumber friend of mine if he knows of any adhesive available in Australia that will do the same job.

Nonononono.. PVC Cement physically bonds the two pipes together.. This is still used in America.

goop is more of a gel and is used for.. gel.. things.. :S

in the end of the say they ARE different.

thank you. So does that fix eliminate the chance of plunger destruction or delay it longterm? Is it really wiser to spend the 50USD plus shipping on a Black Tactical aluminum plunger or will the epoxy plus washer thing work just fine and forever?

I haven't had much success with the alu plunger tube fitting in the AT, as the plunger arms are slightly longer in the AT.

Seriously, it's an AT. We pay about $30 AUD for one over here. It breaks, you buy a new one. End of story. I've got 7 of them in the workshop downstairs - they won't exactly break the bank. Plus, you'll have 2 x 18 round drums...

Interesting, thank you. Re: the cost factor that is true of any nerf gun. I am located in the US and the AT is cheaper here.

I'd rather like to improve performance on it though. So will the washers completely prevent breakage?

No, the washer will not eliminate breakage completely, nor will plunger padding. It's plastic after all, and I'm sure none of this stuff is designed to withstand the test of time. Even the aluminium plunger tubes have the ability to damage the plastic internals of a blaster over prolonged use.

Is there an alternative to Selleys Knead It epoxy putty?
The stuff isn't exactly cheap for the reinforcing jobs that need to be done.

I couldn't locate sources of epoxy putty in thrift stores with my area.

There's stuff like Turbo Builder's Bog, but I'm unsure about it's working consistancy.
