New Nerfer from Sydney

Hey everyone, I'm just recently getting into the world of Nerf. Bought myself a Maverick for $8 from Big W then after that I was hooked. A cheap $15 Recon was the next piece of bait and then I really started to read up on Nerf, checking out NerfHaven, SG Nerf and of course, Oz Nerf.
After reading up on the Longshot, I knew I just had to grab it so I spent a whole afternoon driving around and visiting Big Ws to no avail until I finally found a Longshot in Chatswood Kmart and bought a double pack of Nite Finders.
Keep in mind this is all happened over the last two weeks so you can tell how much this stuff appeals to me

I really wanna get into a Nerf War and/or a HvZ game and I'm rather interested in modding. Not the heavy duty "angel breech" or custom gun stuff but the simple mods.

Anyway that's the end of my long-ish intro. Hope my stay here is fun!

On a side note, it seems a lot of people seem to start out by getting Recons and Mavericks (including me).

Just putting it out there.

Personally I started out with a Recon, Maverick and Nitefinder.

I started out when LongShots weren't available :(. I bought my first one for $50 BNIB and another one for 70:( Until Kmart sales came!

As for firsts, my first foam dart blaster was a buzzbee gun. But you sort of buy one and then keep on buying more till you fill a shed and the misses starts getting annoyed and...

Many of us have modded "loner" blasters, personally I have a modded recon with BT spring and will soon acquire a modded AT with BT spring. I'm sure other attendees also have blasters they could lend you that have been modded.

As do I extend the welcome ! Always good to see another Sydney Nerf enthusiast in our midst, because our community really is growing quite rapidly.
