    Wipeout pistol Empty Wipeout pistol

    Post  boosted6 Sat Jun 04, 2011 4:43 am

Picked up this Wipeout Pistol last weekend.
    Wipeout pistol Dsc00420i

First impression on this were good. Its well made, and with a simple coupler mod, increased ranges by nearly 30ft.
    Wipeout pistol Dsc00382dc

I chopped off all that dead space at the front to the pump and attached the coupler.
    Wipeout pistol Dsc00381nr

Coupler on, and this little blaster shoots hard for just a barrel.
    Wipeout pistol Dsc00390kn

I first fired it with just the coupler added with the plunger spring still in, and it fired great. Then i decided to increase the plunger seal, which i couldnt get perfect, but improving this didnt make much difference. Then the plunger spring was removed. With a stronger spring it would be great. But stronger springs for these i'm having trouble finding.
    Wipeout pistol Dsc00400oq

    Wipeout pistol Dsc00389wi

Barrel i'm using is just petg in pvc.
Angled its reaching 60ft. A stronger spring would be awesome.

I recommend this to anyone wanting a fun sidearm.

Its suck for all you guys, you all missed the 'clearence' era. These things were going for $6 a pop, with twin packs only costing $15. I had 8 of em in my prime. Great blasters, and good writeup mod boosted.

I picked up two twin packs for a total of $7. $5 at a clearance sale and $2 at a thrift store. Oh yeah!!!

@Boosted6 Nice write up. I know it's hard to find another spring for this but you can pre-compress the spring about a centimeter at the base. I did it with pretty good results. I'm getting in the 70's, flat. Keep working on the seal. You'll get it.

Hey nice write up, just one question: how did you get the blaster open because my friend's wipeout wont open because of the purple thingy at the front?

You gotta cut it off, or twist it off if you really wanna keep it. Cutting is much easier.

I've had two of these for a long time, even stock, they are beasts, they shoot buzz bee darts hard and fast, and tend to split nerf darts. Once you mod them, they are insane (just taking out the paint ball stopper increases the range by heaps)

Damn i payed $40 for mine.

Anyway, for $20 a pistol, they are still worth it.

My little niece was shooting blue foam darts out of the stock one, they were zinging.

Cheers MIG, will get that seal sorted soon.

Oh i tried that spacer for the spring, i couldnt get it to catch..will have another look. Maybe had it too big i think.
