ALso, inline clips tend to be quite large if you want a good ammo capacity.
For example, my cobra has an RSCB with a 12 inch clip and a 12 inch barrel. At the moment my barrel sits just in front of where the air is released, while my clip sits along the length of the blaster(out the back). An inline clip of same dimensions would stick out 2 feet from the front of my blaster, which means very hard to wield!
