PetG works just fine for anything with the obscenely large plunger volume of a TripleShot

Re: The Questions Thread.
There's always been debate what is the better barrel material. I think the best fit is the type that the dart goes in nicely, but there is a nice seal around the dart. The problem with 'PETG' is that it doesn't have that 'seal'.
I reckon the best air blaster material is 16mm conduit from either AussieDuct brand or some say "Keyplas" branding.
PETG is usually the choice of barrel material for making breeches and 'rear loading' style blasters. In this case, PETG would be good for the octo shot.

Would you be able to nest 16mm Conduit into 20mm Conduit?

As long as it is grey conduit. Orange has a thicker wall.

Large Snap Caps in Brass Breech LS?
So I recieved my blue foam and tried a few heavy siltips and they seems a little tight in the tightening rings I had set up for stock streamlines. I had actually slid a small ring of 17/32 brass in behind the tightening rings and streamlines were feeding through it but in hindsight that may have been causing me to chew up a few darts.
I nearly destroyed my barrel trying to open the tightening rings by slamming a drill piece inside but I managed to salavage it. After a few shots they still looked a little light so I thought I'd try a snap cap with a couple of washers.
After Glueing the tip on I was disapointed to fine the cap wont go past the tightening rings in my barrel.
My question is do I need to run a straight barrel to use large snap caps and if so how will siltips perform in a straight barrel without tightening rings?
Sorry Mods this was supposed to be in the questions thread. I was in there but pressed new topic instead of reply. My Bad

Just how modified is to modified for a Titan?
I'm hoping to be able to use it for both rockets and darts, but from what I've read on here to many mods are banned for Titans.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Large snaps are a close fit in 9/16th brass and won't go past the very light tightening rings in my brassed LS.
Sili tips should still work fine without tightening rings but you may get some blow-by in colder weather. A southerner should be able to give you a more informed answer on that though.

There's not much you can do to modify a Titan.
Setting it up to shoot both darts and rocket's is easy, and making it clip-fed isn't overly difficult either.
Even unplugged with a short barrel, I'd imagine you'd still be too OP for most wars (using darts, not rockets). You could probably put a regulator in between the pump and the tank, which would make it legal, but that would cost a bit of coin, and there's no guarantee that individual war organiser's would let you use it like that anyway.
If the regulator was only accessible when the shell was opened, I couldn't see it being an issue (that way you couldn't crank up the psi without people noticing easily).
Cheers,

Re: The Questions Thread.
Hi just picked up a nerf rapid fire from target today for $9.
Opened it up and found a loose piece. Pretty sure I know where it goes, just not sure how its held in place.
Does anyone have an internal pic or know where I can find one.
Thanks in advance

He could be talking about the Nerf Rapid Fire - RF20...
I'm sure you could find internal pic's on the net. I've got one in pieces in the workshop, so that won't help you much unfortunately.

Yeh im talking about the RF20 (Rapid Fire AS-20).
Just trying to work out how the round piece with the two springs and padding connects to the end of the plunger and stays in place.

Sorry mate, can't really help you at the moment. I could take my other RF20 apart and take internal pic's to post in the directory, but I doubt I'll get a chance to do that until the weekend.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Hello guys,
Today made my way to Toys R Us and purchased which is what essentially is a $40 titan. Anywho, everything is cool, and have had much fun with it! Although the hornet is a bit sucky? When i cock it back then pump, after around 10 pumps every other pump makes this weird noise, and when I put my ear to it, I can hear the hornet leaking air, this is my first hornet so I'm not sure if that is normal, please reply.
Edit: I also cant unscrew my titan barrel off?

Yeah, that's probably the OPV kicking in. Have you tried with the other Hornets? If they do the same, it's almost certainly the OPV.

Re: The Questions Thread.
OPV? Overpressure valve, why is it overpressured after 10 pumps? only 1-3 shots go like 15ft all the overs fall at my feet?
Also I cant unscrew my titan barrel off?

Re: The Questions Thread.
Zeus - try google or the mod directory for help on the Titan barrel. From memory, it's fairly tight for the first time you unscrew it (I assume you're talking about the rocket barrel). Maybe you might need to get another set of hands on it.
Due to being back-pressure tanks (check the nerfer-nition's thread in the General Nerf category), the Hornet can be a fairly unreliable blaster. From what I've heard, roughly 2 out of 3 don't work properly... If nothing else, you can strip it for some decent parts - a good quality pump, 6 tanks for integrations, and 3 QEV's.
Cheers,

Re: The Questions Thread.
Thanks for your help Clunk, really appreciate it, I apologize about before, I was hot headed from something else, anyway they (people on google) said that the Titans barrel (yes, the rocket barrel) is threaded only to screw on not off, is that true, if it isn't or is, how do I take it off? I want to coupler it to shoot darts and rockets.
Edit: Also Clunk, would you be able to clear all posts in my Nitefinder thread, as I want to remove the Nitefinder and SS to add just the hornet.

Re: The Questions Thread.
yeh, google must be a bit off today. I'm yet to see too many applications where a thread is uni-directional, particularly when made from plastic.
I've couplered two Titan's, and had no issues removing the rocket barrel. I am a bit older though, so maybe it's an issue of grip/strength. Maybe your Dad/older brother etc etc could give you a hand with it.
It's standard right-hand thread too.
Cheers,

You need plunger padding or else it will smash it's self to pieces.
Other than that there is nothing you can really do.

errr, it just sort of sits there, held in by the shell. Did you get this sorted? I've just taken my son's apart again, it's in bits all over my desk, so PM me if you want a photo or some guidance.

All down to preference. But a Quad Shot will take a bit more work to do. Not that there's nothing to do with an RSCB.

Re: The Questions Thread.
Also remember that there will be a certain amount of air loss with an RSCB, due to dead space in the clip. I think you would probably get better ranges quadded, but its all down to how many shots you want and your personal style.

Re: The Questions Thread.
What makes an RSCB 'better' than an inline clip?
Inline seems to have less deadspace, and be a buttload easier to make.

They are really unreliable and you could send any amounts of darts through at a time.
Also, there might not even be a single dart going through the barrel because another dart is stopping the airflow.
Also, the more shots you want with an inline, the more deadspace there is too.
