    Longshot bolt handle comes apart too easily Empty Longshot bolt handle comes apart too easily

    Post  whebzy Mon Sep 26, 2011 6:11 am

    I've opened up my longshot a few times now for various reasons, therefore the bolt handle has been pried off a few times. Lately though, it's been just randomly coming apart at the most inconvenient times. Is there any way to reinforce the longshot bolt handle so its takes more force to come apart?

    You mean the orange bit that you pull back?

    Once you remove it, it's really going to be loose at times because it's original purpose was to be completely locked and not in a modified state. Really the only 100% 'solved' solution is to get a shotgun grip, because any permanent, or near permanent fixes will mean you can't open it in the future.

    Also you already have two threads on LS questions. Why do you need two? There's a question thread as well. Not that you haven't been warned as well.

    Yes as 2120 said this is something better aimed at the question thread, please try to post your questions there in the future.

    While I don't know the best way to reinforce it as a suggestion you should put it in the other way around so that the bit that does not come out is on the side that you prime, that should stop you at least from pulling it off, though it could still come off in the priming motion.

    I can confirm this is true, I have done it to the cocking handle of my blue longshot but I use electrical tape.

    That's good, I wasn't really sure about finding plumbers tape in our small shed full of useless things.

    Whebzy. Could you please ask these sort of questions in this link HERE. You've been asked the 2nd time to this already. Please don't continue to do so.

    Thank =).
