Now I have looked at other longshot problems but I think I am the only one with this particular problem. It is not catching, but it doesn't prime back, hold for a second, then snap back, for some reason now it just won't reach the catch. The only other information i can provide is that a black circle piece inside the plunger tube has fallen out, but I don't really see how that would effect it. Any ideas or help would be very much appreciated

Now I know this picture is not very clear (found it on google, couldn't be bothered taking picture now) With mine the outer black circle piece has fallen out and only the smaller circle tube with the crossbar is left.

Ummm I believe that outer black circle is the part that stops the plunger head and seals the end of the plunger tube, if I'm thinking of the same part as you. So having it gone is a problem.
Post an actual picture please.
