Okay so my friend has just recently stopped nerfing (He found COD lol) and he gave me his longshot absolutely free! This has made me extra happy because my one has just recently broken and I was on the hunt for a new one. So I really want to do a mass overhaul on this, but first I want to reinforce it in all ways possible so I can fit my C-836 spring in it. What reinforcements should I do and how? Any help and ideas would be awesome thanks.

I would say replace some of the internals with aluminium parts.
GoodLuck

Replace somethings aluminum parts? Are you kidding me? That will cost WAY too much.
Reinforce the boltsled by cutting a 0.5mm L shape piece similar to the L part of the boltsled and use 3-day slow curing epoxy. That's reinforcement no.1
Putting padding on the plunger, can be rubber or those anti-slip things (make sure they're 1mm or less... or else your gun won't prime since the bolt lock is in the way. Reinforcement no. 2
Don't dry fire it and keep it to yourself... Reinforcement no.3
Those are the main ones... also better catch spring etc etc.

Re: I got a free longshot!!!
And always use 2, TWO hands to prime the gun, DO NOT try to prime it with one hand, if you want to use 1 hand, dont change the spring!!!!
The bolt sled can only be reinforced so much, but the only way to stop it from twisting (so you can use 1 hand to prime it) is to have the whole main housing made from metal, expect to pay close too $1000 for that.
SO the answer is 2 hands to prime, otherwise you will break the bolt sled.
